LORD Of The Rings director and multi-millionaire Peter Jackson is creating a $4.5-million wonderland at his Wairarapa, New Zealand property. He is plans to build a 22 million-litre ornamental lake to go along with the three-storey fairytale mansion, two villas and Lord Of The Rings set pieces, including Frodo's home – Bag End, which are already on the property. The mansion has two towers, a 20m indoor swimming pool and a 100-seat cinema. Jackson's property has a listed valuation of $2.3 million, with a further $2 million in planned improvements. A replica pre-World War II plane being built for Peter Jackson's King Kong movie will be housed at a new $3 million aviation museum in Blenheim when filming finishes in March next year. NEW YORK - Peter Jackson (news) won't be returning to the Shire any time soon. The Oscar-winning director is planning to film "The Hobbit," the prequel to "The Lord of the Rings," trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien, but two studios must first duke out the legal rights to the film. Jackson said New Line has the rights to make the movie, but MGM has the rights to distribute it.
