Reuters this evening published photos taken earlier today showing “Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif… lay[ing] a wreath at the grave of assassinated Hezbollah military commander” Imad Mughniyeh, a terrorist who was killed in 2008 after having spent literally decades killing Americans and others on behalf of his paymasters in Tehran. Celebrating a mass-murdering terrorist is a bad choice for any Foreign Minister, but the decision by Tehran’s top diplomat to so brazenly honor a terrorist like Mughniyeh, who killed hundreds of Americans, within hours of inking an agreement with the US and members of the P5+1 sends a very...

Why does the U.S. media not see an equivalence? Some Japanese PM's, unlike Abe, wouldn't go near that Yasakuni "Tojo" shrine. Which of the two "shrines" is more reprehensible? Didn't the Hezbollah leader kill American's? Didn't Tojo, a war criminal, also kill Americans? Boycott both "shrines" IMHO...

A report in a Kuwaiti newspaper Thursday said that Hezbollah terrorists are traveling the world freely, seeking opportunities to carry out terror attacks against Israelis and Jews—using passports issued in Australia, Canada, and a variety of European countries. Quoting a Western intelligence source, the report said that Hezbollah has already used these passports to try and carry out terror attacks in places like Azerbaijan, Jordan, Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece. …

...It is said that wherever Iran goes, Hezbollah is not far behind.”...Iran continues to actively cultivate ties among its allies in Latin America, including Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia, a policy that some have warned could bring terrorism closer to U.S. borders. Iranian media has been filled with reports over the past week touting the ten-day visit to Latin America by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi. In Havana on Thursday, senior Cuban officials praised Iran and expressed interest in further strengthening ties with the Islamic Republic. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parilla said his...

“The supersonic and long-range anti-ship Yakhont missiles of the Syrian army and the Lebanese Hezbollah (resistance movement) are serious deterrents to a US naval attack by its warships in the Mediterranean Sea,” Dr. Mostafa Zahra, a military analyst and strategic studies expert, told FNA on Monday. He said that Syria’s Iskandar high-precision ballistic missiles and its anti-ship Scud missiles will also target the US warships in case of a US naval invasion of Syria, reminding that the American military vessels are not equipped with any weapons system to intercept or divert the Syrian anti-ship missiles. The P-800 Oniks, also known...

"Israel poses a danger on all people of this region...including Lebanon, and removing it is a Lebanese national interest," Nasrallah told hundreds of supporters in his half-hour speech. The charismatic Shi'ite cleric has lived mainly in the shadows, fearing assassination, since Hezbollah fought an inconclusive month-long war with Israel in 2006... Israeli air force jets bombed trucks carrying Syrian missiles bound for Hizbullah's warehouses in Lebanon, according to Syrian opposition sources. The sources, were cited Sunday by Voice of Israel radio's Arabic-language service, which was quoted by i24 News. The Friday night bombing reportedly targeted a Syrian military base near the town of Quneitra, not far from the Golan Heights cease-fire line. This was the fifth known Israeli attack this year on Syrian weapons bound for Hizbullah. Hizbullah’s armed wing wired almost $100,000 (€75,000) to two men wanted over a bomb attack that killed five Israeli tourists in Bulgaria last year, a local newspaper reported Friday, according to the AFP news agency. According to the 24 Hours daily, the money was to help organize the blast at Burgas airport on the Black Sea on July 18, 2012, and to carry out reconnaissance in other countries. The attack on the tourist bus also killed the vehicle’s Bulgarian driver—a Muslim—and left 35 people injured. It was the deadliest attack on Israelis abroad since 2004. Israel immediately blamed Hizbullah for...

Lebanon on Thursday demanded that the European Union keep Hizbullah off its list of terror organizations. Hizbullah, the Lebanese government said in a letter to the EU, “is an essential component of Lebanese society.” In a statement from the government, Lebanon said that if the EU did put the group on the the terror list, it would be doing it without proof that Hizbullah was actually a terror group, and that the decision was unfair. The request came almost to the day of the one year anniversary of the bombing of a resort in Nurgas, Bulgaria, targeting Israeli tourists. Iran...

Fahad al Masri, a spokesman for the Western-backed Free Syrian Army, told the Lebanese news website El Nashra on Thursday that “the Syrian regime managed to deliver shipments of chemical weapons to Hizbullah.” He added that the weapons were delivered from an area near the capital Damascus and arrived in Lebanon sometime in the past several weeks. The transfer of the weapons, al Masri told El Nashra, was coordinated by Syria and Iran. …

The European Union’s foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, is working on an initiative that would blacklist Hizbullah’s so-called “military wing” while leaving the EU open to talking with its political faction, EU diplomats said on Wednesday. EU ambassadors are set to discuss on Thursday the issue of adding Hizbullah to its list of terrorist groups. Counter-terrorist experts from the bloc's 28 member states twice failed last month to reach a unanimous decision to blacklist the Lebanese Shiite group. Two EU diplomats told Reuters on Wednesday that the proposal by Ashton suggests including a statement the EU "should continue dialogue with...

The LCB was accused in a December 2011 complaint of funneling money to the Lebanese terrorist group Hizballah as part of a global money-laundering scheme.
