Hey all. I am relatively new to posting at Free Republic although I have donated and read posts for years. Ironically I have posted to blogs and all other types of groups but I have not had much luck getting my posts published on FR. Is there some guidance I can follow that will help me better place my posts? I can't find a Q&A or other guide. For example, if you a referencing a news article should you post it only under News or under other topic headings as well. Finally, do all the posts end up in the...

I was using MaxSecure's Max Registry Cleaner until I got this global warming support email from them today. Their gone from my home. Any others worth using? (Their disgusting email) This Saturday, the symbols of our civilization, iconic buildings and landmarks from all over the world, will stand in darkness, to help bring to light one of the biggest challenges of our generation-- Climate Change. The 'Earth Hour' that began as a show of solidarity against climate change has today become a global movement. On March 27 at 8.30pm, switch off your lights to support action against climate change. Nearly one year ago I proposed a Federalism Amendment in the Wall Street Journal followed four weeks later by a Bill of Federalism containing ten amendments, which appeared on Forbes.com. This has led me to hear from hundreds of citizens, and state legislators from around the country, about the pros and cons of constitutional amendments in general and my proposal in particular. Given the enactment of the health insurance legislation this week, the time is now ripe for a stripped down amendment proposal that would address the issue of national control of health insurance, as well as the construction of...

Hey my fellow FRiends :D This is a huge and wonderful forum with so many like minded people sticking together and helping each other out as well :) I am in my early 20s, still in college. I still live with my family and I want to get a job badly (like so many many other people)! I hate having to live off my parents, i feel really guilty, plus I want my own income and responsibility. Any tips you can give me to really get the job and/or make myself stand out? I know tons of you have experience!...

I hope this won't get me in trouble, and I'm not sure I put this in the right place, but I know that Freepers are the smartest people on earth and I am in need of tech help. I have a HP B8350 printer that suddenly is telling me there is a problem with the cartridges. Initially it said the tri-color cartridge had a problem and suggested I take it out and put it back in and/or replace it. I did both of those things, and it still will not print (just continues to give me an error window when...

Well, wacky smackers, it's been a while. The Smackdown Crew went on strike for a while because YouTube was not upholding their end of the "community policing" policies they had in place so we went on "strike." We were having increasing troubles getting terrorist videos removed from YouTube, even as we were noting several people that we had flagged becoming ever more bold and aggressive in breaking executive orders. As some of you know, the Smackdown Crew began working from a different angle. There were several threads posted here at FreeRepublic and elsewhere that showed a direct link from YouTube's...

After the election of Obama & seeing what (I believe) he is deliberately doing to the nation with the help of his cohorts, comrades & "man-puppies" in Congress...I'm starting to think in 4-5 years our nation is going to be in such distress, that we might want to move to Texas before the crap hits the fan. We live in Upstate, SC which is a conservative area but if, (Heaven forbid!), CW2 or some variation of it comes down the line, I don't see this as a good part of the nation to be in economically or militarily. Right now,...

...be sure the first thing you do next is dispose of the shoes you wore to do the deed. It seem every other case on "Forensic Files" hinges on a killer strolling into the police station wearing the same shoes they tracked blood all around the victim's house with. What are they thinking?

Today we launch a major new series investigating the parlous state of customer service in Britain. We start on telecoms companies, which, despite being in the communications business, generate more complaints than any other industry. Britain's internet and phone companies show a shameful disregard for their customers - leaving 4.1 million people unhappy with their service every year. Official figures show that an incredible 3.3 million customers have been left waiting three months or more for their phone or broadband provider to resolve a problem.

I'm in the process of selecting a satellite TV provider since I'll be moving soon when I buy a house. I found an old FR thread from 2003 on the topic of Direct TV vs. Dish TV. The market has changed since then. I only have two TV locations. I don't need the premium channels, just the basics, especially Fox News. Any suggestions and information will be appreciated.

I'm scheduled to have Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery on March 18th. It has taken me 3 years to get to this point but now that it's here I'm starting to wonder if I'm making the right decision. This is a really serious procedure that will completely alter my digestive system. Losing weight will be great but havng my diabetes cured will be wonderful.

Good Sunday Morning to all. A couple of weeks I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I have been tracking my sugar levels and meet with Doc. tomorrow. My readings have been as low as 180 and as high as 450. The Doc. told me to expect to go on 'injections'. I have gobbled up all kinds of diabetes info...changed my diet...the whole 9. Anyone out there with diabetes..with the type of readings I am getting from the glucometer...are my options limited to injections? My Doc. is hell bent on it..has ruled out tablets. Any thoughts? Thanks a bunch.
