Official Office for National Statistics data has inadvertently revealed that 35,924 people have died within twenty-one days of having a Covid-19 vaccine in England during the first 8 months of 2021.Dozens of freedom of information requests have been made to Public Health England (PHE) over the past several months requesting to know how many people have died within 28 days of having a Covid-19 vaccine, but each and every time PHE have claimed they do “not hold the information requested”.SourceIt is extremely strange to find that PHE do not hold the information considering their counterpart in Scotland has been able...

The latest official Public Health data shows that the fully vaccinated accounted for 88% of Covid-19 deaths in the past four weeks, whilst also accounting for 77% of Covid-19 hospitalisations and 64% of alleged Covid-19 cases from October 2nd through to October 29th.The Covid-19 Statistical Report is a weekly report on Covid-19 data published by Public Health Scotland, and the latest update published November 3rd confirms that things are getting worse for the fully vaccinated population by the week whilst things improve for the not-vaccinated population.Table 18 of the report confirms that the majority of Covid-19 cases were among the...

“We have eight million people signed up through the exchanges. That doesn’t include the three million young people who are able to stay on their parents’ plan. It doesn’t include the million people who benefited from expansions to Medicaid. So if my math is correct, that’s 14 million right there. You have another five million people who signed up outside of the marketplaces but are part of the same insurance pool. So, we’ve got a sizable part of the U.S. population now that are in the first — for the first time in many cases in a position to enjoy...

Kim Min-woo, 15, started having memory problems recently. He started flunking tests in subjects that required heavy bouts of memorization. And then he couldn’t remember the six-digit keypad code to get into his own home. He had to call the code up on his smartphone to get in the door. Kim’s mother took him to a doctor and the diagnosis was shocking: Kim had symptoms of early onset dementia due to intense exposure to digital technology. Since the age of five, Kim was tethered to either the television or the computer. He is an avid computer game lover. “His brain’s...

If votes in every state were awarded by congressional district, President-elect Romney would be planning his inauguration right now. According to the Cook Political Report, Mitt Romney won roughly about 52 percent of the congressional districts. Currently, all states except for Maine and Nebraska award electoral votes on a winner-takes-all basis. Long-term, that looks like a worrisome trend for the GOP. Several formerly red strongholds, including Georgia and Arizona, are becoming more Democratic. Still, demographics are not destiny and if Republicans succeed in winning over more Hispanics than they have in recent years, for instance, these states could well remain...

U.S. employment growth accelerated last month and the jobless rate dropped to a near three-year low of 8.5 percent, the strongest evidence yet the economic recovery is gaining steam. "We're moving in the right direction. When Congress returns they should extend the middle-class tax cut for all of this year, to make sure we keep this recovery going," he said. LONG ROAD BACK Employment remains about 6.1 million below its pre-recession level and at December's pace of job growth, it would take about 2-1/2 years to win those jobs back. There are roughly 4.3 unemployed people for every job opening....

Officials tell ABC News so far, they found 700 mistaken Congressional districts out of more than 130,000 stimulus grants. On Monday night, ABC reported on errors found on the website set up by the White House to track the number of jobs created or saved by the economic stimulus program. The website was riddled with reports of jobs in places that didn't even exist. That report prompted anger on Capitol Hill, and defensiveness at the White House. On Tuesday night's broadcast, ABC's Chief Congressional Correspondent Jon Karl took another look at the stimulus confusion (link) LINK White House Vows to...

Is fuzzy math a new math? Fox’s Major Garrett, among others, tried to hold WH Press Secretary Robert Gibbs feet to the fire on the “jobs saved or created” fuzzy math coming from the White House. Garret wonders, when you have 500,000 people filing for unemployment each week, how can you crow about 600,000 jobs? Gibbs answer is classic.

A new poll shows that Democrat Barack Obama could be edging ahead of Republican John McCain in Montana. Obama is at 44 percent and John McCain is at 40 percent in the Montana State University-Billings poll released Thursday. The poll reverses others from earlier in the fall that showed McCain with a lead in the state. The poll of 403 Montanans was conducted from Thursday though Monday and has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 percentage points. Both Obama and McCain did a pretty good job in the poll of holding their party's base, but Obama held...

According to M. J. Mcdermott, a meteorologist and Q13 Fox News (Seattle) weather reporter, the ongoing American mathematic illiteracy may be the result of misguided “reformed math” curriculum which fails to teach students the internationally recognized, efficient multiplication and division algorithms that older generations of Americans learned. Instead, children are encouraged to problem-solve without first developing efficient problem-solving techniques in multiplication and division. Math by CalculatorAs McDermott notes in her video, textbooks such as the 4th and 5th grade versions of Everyday Mathematics devote copious pages to non-germane topics such as a full-color 48-page world atlas to assist students in...

Do you know what math curriculum your child is being taught? Are you worried that your third-grader hasn't learned simple multiplication yet? Have you been befuddled by educational jargon such as "spiraling," which is used to explain why your kid keeps bringing home the same insipid busywork of cutting, gluing and drawing? And are you alarmed by teachers who emphasize "self-confidence" over proficiency while their students fall further and further behind? Join the club. Across the country, from New York City to Seattle, parents are wising up to math fads like "Everyday Math." Sounds harmless enough, right? It's cleverly marketed...

"Reform math", sometimes called "fuzzy math" or "rainforest math",is taught in the vast majority of public schools even though it is a demonstrable failure. While those of us who follow k-12 education can tell you that these curricula cripple children and are a threat to our economy and national security, this brief, lucid video by an appalled mom who also has a local TV job makes the point very effectively by showing a small part of what the problem is. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tr1qee-bTZI By the way, note that McDermott fails to point out that the even the alternative...

Sen. John Kerry claimed this morning on NBC TODAY that only 53% of America's children graduate from high school -- a claim that raised eyebrows in the NBC control room, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT. Kerry made the comments after host Katie Couric asked the former presidential candidate about the Bush's State of the Union call to train 70,000 additional teachers in math and science. COURIC: He wanted to train 70,000 additional teachers in math and science. KERRY: That's terrific. But 53 percent of our children don't graduate from high school. Kids don't have after-school programs... He didn't ask America...

Our brains have become too small to understand math, says a rebel mathematician from Britain. Or rather, math problems have grown too big to fit inside our heads. And that means mathematicians are finally losing the power to prove things with absolute certainty. Math has been the only sure form of knowledge since the ancient Greeks, 2,500 years ago. You can't prove the sun will rise tomorrow, but you can prove two plus two equals four, always and everywhere. But suddenly, Brian Davies of King's College London is shaking the foundations of certainty. He says our brains can't grasp today's...

President Bush's campaign yesterday rolled out an upbeat, soft-focus ad using the Olympics as a backdrop. But, within hours, the focus shifted to an attack ad, assailing John F. Kerry's record on intelligence, that was supposed to remain under wraps until Monday. The negative ad leaked out after it was mistakenly played on the Fox News Channel, giving Kerry strategists an opportunity to change the debate and challenge the president's charges three days before the spot receives widespread airing. Noting the Democratic nominee's promise to reform the intelligence system, a narrator says: "Oh, really? As a member of the intelligence...

MESA, Ariz. - President Bush said Wednesday that his proposed temporary worker program would help cut back abuses against illegal immigrants by smugglers who slip them across the border. Bush suggested that the program allowing migrants to obtain renewable three-year labor visas to work here would offer an alternative to using people smugglers, also known as coyotes. "It's essential to the security of the country that we have a legal system so that we don't have this terrible problem of coyotes smuggling people across the hot Arizona and Texas deserts," Bush said. Bush led a discussion at Mesa Community College...

New York’s chancellor Klein’s plan doesn’t compute. | 7 March 2003 “Come on, I need someone to take a chance. Who can start the puzzle?” It wasn’t working. We’d gone through six straight wrong answers, and now the kids were tired of feeling lost. It was only October, and already my fourth-grade public school class in the South Bronx was demoralized. Day after day of going over strange, seemingly disconnected math lessons had squelched my students’ interest in the subject. Then, quietly, 10-year-old David spoke up. “Mr. Clavel, no one understands this stuff.” He looked up at me with a...

Goshen – A new math curriculum plus confused students equals angry parents. At least when that new math curriculum is the Interactive Mathematics Program. Under IMP, high school students learn from books that have more word problems than equations. Instead of traditional math instruction, IMP emphasizes students working in groups to solve a problem over the course of a few weeks. Goshen has been using IMP for the past three years in its freshman, sophomore and junior classes. The district plans to add it to its 12th-grade curriculum next year. But some parents want it gone. "The whole program is...
