The United Kingdom’s Director of Public Prosecutions, Stephen Parkinson, has threatened to extradite overseas social media users who have supported or spoken out on the anti-mass migration protests and riots gripping the country. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has promised draconian action against those protesting against the deadly stabbing of multiple young girls by a migration-background teenager in Southport, England last week. (snip) X owner and tech billionaire Elon Musk has also strongly criticized Prime Minister Starmer for two-tier policing of anti-mass migration demonstrators and Muslim counter-demonstrators, branding him “#TwoTierKier.”It remains unclear whether the British government will try to extradite...

A former detective who helped to police the notorious Brixton riots has accused Keir Starmer of taking a too "hardline approach" to policing the riots and said he needs to recognise there are law abiding members of the public with legitimate concerns. Former Met Police undercover detective Peter Bleksley said the Prime Minister has backed himself into a corner with a hard-line stance that is now being mimicked by his former force's leaders. He is one of several ex-officers to today share their views on the police and Government handling of the riots with Express.co.uk. One claimed Mr Starmer was...

Another pro-life activist has been sentenced to time in prison for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Sixty-eight-year-old Steven Lefemine of South Carolina was sentenced to 60 days in jail and was fined $1,000 after he was found guilty in March of blocking the entrance of a Planned Parenthood abortion facility on November 15, 2022. He will not be placed on probation. A video played during his trial showed Lefemine refusing to move unless the clinic workers agreed “not to kill babies today.” Though he was originally arrested by local law enforcement, convicted for trespassing by...

Below is my column in The Hill on the recent notice that this blog is now being formally “reviewed” by NewsGuard, a company that I just criticized in a prior Hill column as a threat to free speech. The questions from NewsGuard were revealing and concerning. Today, I have posted the response of NewsGuard’s co-founder Gordon Crovitz as well as my response to his arguments. Here are is the column: Recently, I wrote a Hill column criticizing NewsGuard, a rating operation being used to warn users, advertisers, educators and funders away from media outlets based on how it views the...

We are, of course, disappointed with today's decision - but not entirely surprised given the narrow parameters we were fighting within. (click above for Dr Naomi Wolf's witness statement - delivered outside the court as she was not allowed to deliver it orally in court. Plus, my statement and Mark's - which were given in support of specific grounds in the case.) This started as a battle between GB News and Ofcom. GB News sacrificed Mark whilst he was recovering from two heart attacks in an attempt to appease Ofcom. As noted in the court's decision, Ofcom was able to...

Joe Biden has put another pro-life American in prison for protesting abortion – this time putting a young mother in federal prison for more than three years for preaching outside an abortion center. Bevelyn Beatty Williams, a 33-year-old mom of a 2-year-old daughter, received a sentence this week of three years and give months in prison. Williams was charged with violating the FACE Act, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Williams faces an additional charge of violating the FACE Act through force, which carries up to 10 years. For the nearly three decades since FACE was...

Tommy Robinson was arrested in Kent under 'anti-terror laws', a day after organising a mass demonstration in London. The far-right activist was detained by police at the Channel tunnel in Folkestone and later released on bail. It comes after flag-waving protesters stormed Downing Street yesterday demanding his release. Chants of 'release Tommy now' and 'we want Tommy out, we want Tommy out' could be heard from protesters, as tourists filmed the men on their phones. Kent Police said on Sunday night that a man, 41, had been detained at the Channel tunnel in Folkestone under schedule 7 of the Terrorism...

The Gateway Pundit’s bankruptcy filing in Florida has been rejected by a federal court. R Federal Bankruptcy Judge Mindy A. Mora ruled today that the Gateway Pundit cannot seek relief for its financial liabilities in federal court because, in her belief, the relief sought is being done in ‘bad faith.’ Said Judge Moora, it was clear that the Gateway Pundit was solvent and able to pay its debts. ...... Snip...... Giuliani, on essentially the same case filed also by Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, was awarded $150 million in damages in a Washington, D.C. case and his bankruptcy case was...

For free speech advocates, there are few images more chilling than that of Nina Jankowicz singing her now-infamous tune as “the Mary Poppins of Disinformation.” The woman who would become known as the “Disinformation Czar” sang a cheerful TikTok parody of “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” to rally people to the cause of censorship. When the press caught wind of President Biden’s plan to appoint Jankowicz as head of the Department of Homeland Security’s new “disinformation board,” Fox News said she “intended to censor Americans’ speech.” The backlash was swift. Plans for the board were suspended, and Jankowicz resigned in 2022. She then sued...

The United States Supreme Court on Monday ordered the state of New York to respond to a lawsuit filed by the state of Missouri by this Wednesday, according to Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey. Bailey filed the lawsuit on July 3, and argued that the prosecution of former President Donald Trump in his hush money case, along with the court's gag orders, damaged Missourians' right to hear him speak freely ahead of the election. The lawsuit requests that the Supreme Court rule that New York illegally interfered with the presidential election, and postpone any sentencing in the court case until...

With the arraignment of Donald Trump on charges brought under the Espionage Act, America’s cold civil war pitting blue cities against red regions has gotten considerably hotter. But that’s inevitable when you manipulate the nation’s laws to designate the leader of a movement representing one half of the country a traitor. Legal experts say the Justice Department’s case against Trump is strong. Even many on the right agree. “This indictment contains serious charges,” says Trump’s former Vice President Mike Pence. The former president is “toast,” says his onetime Attorney General William Barr. But to others, the 37-count indictment looks like...

Subway has been accused of religious discrimination against Christians after an outlet in Wisconsin refused to serve customers because of the anti-abortion and anti-gay messages on their T-shirts. Street preacher David Grisham was in town for the Republican National Convention when he and three friends popped into a Waunakee branch of the fast-food franchise to grab a sandwich. But they were forced to go elsewhere when a young woman behind the counter confirmed she was refusing to serve the group because of the messages on their T-shirts. The world's largest restaurant operator has now been hit with a deluge of...

A California judge has ruled that teachers were right to punish a seven-year-old girl over a Black Lives Matter drawing because 'she's too young to have First Amendment rights.' The first grader was banned from recess and drawing pictures at Viejo Elementary in Orange County after she added the words 'any life' below Black Lives Matter on a picture she drew and and gave to a black friend. The picture showed the words 'Black Lives Matter' with four round shapes in various different tones of brown, beige and yellow, which was intended to 'represent her friends' who were 'racially-mixed'.

The mother of a first grader punished for handing an “innocent” drawing with the phrases “black lives matter” and “any life” to a classmate of color is appealing to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals after a lower court ruling declared first-grade students are too young to be protected by the First Amendment. After a first grade lesson on Martin Luther King Jr. and Black Lives Matter, a student who felt bad for her classmate of color drew a picture for that classmate to allegedly help the classmate feel more included. The picture had the phrase “Black Lives Mater” (sic)...
