UPDATE ON CASEY NETHERCOTT (The Sheriff is mad because someone called his office and referred to them with the nickname we've given them of "The Texas Taliban"!) KEEP IT UP! - KEEP THE CALLS GOING! - KEEP THE FAXES GOING! Our legal representative has provided the following update: The District Judge Alejandro (Alex) Gabert was very complimentary to our Legal Advisor (name withheld at this time) for his outstanding Habeas Corpus work, which is what we have done here. In fact, he was obscenely complimentary. The Judge dragged both the Asst. D.A. (Rudy Gutierrez), and HIS boss, the D.A.- (Herbie...

Once again today two hundred odd peace protestors, anarchists and America-haters gathered at the junction of Hwy 51 and 70 in north central Wisconsin. I arrived scotto voce at 10am. By 10:30, the bulk of the useful idiots had gone home. I sincerely believe that the strong positive vocal support of vechicular traffic for Old Glory and my signs caused these folks to turn tail and run. I only had to explain the difference between assult and battery to one persistant idiot.

Capitol rallies kick off campaigns in earnest Granholm backers, detractors sound off on issues Thursday By Chris Andrews Lansing State Journal The Democrats chanted "J.G. for G.O.V." Republicans countered with "We need a leader, not a lawyer." Thursday's dueling Capitol rallies - separated by a pair of blue Jennifer Granholm banners - were a clear sign that the general election is in full swing, and that every action will be met with a counteraction between now and Nov. 5. "The future starts now, and we're going to take back this Capitol in November," said U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Lansing, who...

Cannabis poses a greater threat to health than tobacco, lung experts have warned. The warning comes on the day that Home Secretary David Blunkett is due to make a Commons statement about the future of government drug policy. Many young people are simply not aware that smoking cannabis may put them at increased risk of respiratory cancers and infections . Dame Helena Shovelton: The Home Affairs Select Committee has recommended that cannabis is downgraded from a class B drug to class C. This would mean that possession would lead to a caution, rather than arrest. The British Lung Foundation is...

<p>"Bill Clinton is telling friends that he will hit the road this summer to help at least 30 U.S congressmen and Senators raise money for their re-election campaigns. But his office won't divulge who those candidates are, or even in which states they reside. Neither will the Democratic National Committee or the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee or the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee," the Prowler column notes at www.americanprowler.com.</p>
