Today there were two important votes in the House of Representatives regarding Libya. In the first, a super-majority in the House rejected a measure to continue the US role in Libya. Yet when it came to crunch time, a bill to defund President Obama's military action in Libya failed. The vote was specifically to "limit the use of funds appropriated to the Department of Defense for United States Armed Forces in support of North Atlantic Treaty Organization Operation Unified Protector with respect to Libya, unless otherwise specifically authorized by law." 89 Republicans voted no (along with 149 Democrats).
