Indiana is becoming a frequent destination for U.S. Senate Republicans who support the election of Richard Mourdock. Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., joined Mourdock in Indianapolis on Monday to talk about health care legislation at an orthopedics hospital. Other senators who have appeared with Mourdock since his May 8 nomination include Dan Coats of Indiana, Rick Rubio of Florida and John Thune of South Dakota. Sharron Angle’s modest bounce after her Republican Primary win appears to be over, but she still holds a slight lead over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada’s U.S. Senate race. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Nevada shows Angle earning 48% support, while Reid, the state’s longtime Democratic senator, picks up 41% of the vote. Eight percent (8%) like some other candidate in the race, while just two percent (2%) are undecided.

A special judges panel held its first meeting with campaign lawyers today, a day after DFLer Al Franken and Republican Norm Coleman dueled over how broad Coleman's legal challenge to the U.S. Senate recount should be and how long it should take.
