The unfolding disaster for Democrats right now, with just 63 days until the election, is that their party’s brand is not Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, it’s the violent mob in the streets. Democrats have only themselves to blame. Too many months of inaction and equivocation about “mostly peaceful protests” have branded them as the party that’s okay with street violence and mob action, as long as it’s in the name of racial justice.

The Army is launching an investigation into the two uniformed personnel who were shown during the Democratic National Convention, the service said Wednesday. During the second night of the convention, the soldiers appeared next to delegates from American Samoa during the state roll call, prompting questions about whether they violated military rules. The Department of Defense (DOD) forbids service members from appearing in uniform at political events. The Army announced it will investigate the two service members, who are assigned to the 9th Mission Support Command, Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Emanuel Ortiz confirmed to The Hill. "Wearing a uniform to...

he Democratic National Convention continues to struggle for eyeballs on television, according to preliminary data from Nielsen, which suggests that Night 2 of the event attracted just 6.13 million viewers at ABC, CBS and NBC. If the numbers hold — they're expected to be updated late Wednesday — the audience will have sunk 48 percent across the three broadcast networks compared to the second night of 2016's convention that nominated Hillary Clinton for president.

The Democratic National Convention will take place in a couple of weeks, but it won’t be the boisterous celebration of politics we are used to seeing every four years. Instead, look for a mostly virtual event, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. The highlight will be when presumptive nominee Joe Biden accepts the nomination on the last night of the convention. - It will take place Aug. 17-20. - The party's mostly virtual festivities will kick off on Monday with opening ceremonies and a selection of speakers, who will be announced at a later date. - The results of votes on...

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti backed violent demonstrations in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, referring to mobs that have attacked a federal courthouse as “the best of our democratic ideals” and slamming federal law enforcement’s response. Portland has been the scene of nightly violent riots for weeks. Black Lives Matter “protesters” have pelted officers with bottles, rocks, and bricks. The “protests” have included Black Lives Matter activists and members of the militant Antifa group

The Connecticut GOP called upon the “Democratic Party” to change its name Monday, issuing a resolution that asserts Democrats must address “the hundreds of years of racial oppression, violence, and multiple violations of human rights” associated with their party. The resolution states Connecticut Republicans “deem it necessary that the Democratic Party change its name due to the Party’s long tragic legacy denying Americans basic human rights,” including: Democrats blocked the first attempt to ratify the 13th Amendment in 1863 Democrats unanimously voted against the 14th Amendment giving former slaves citizenship Democrats unanimously voted against the 15th Amendment giving former slaves...

Even as virtually every country's economy has struggled in recent months amid state-imposed lockdowns intended to combat the coronavirus pandemic, some disaffected progressives are convinced that the problem is capitalism -- reportedly sending membership in the Democratic Socialists of America [DSA] surging by 10,000 since March, for a still-paltry total of 66,000 members overall. The coronavirus outbreak originated in China, a communist country, and went on to ravage several European countries with public health care systems, including Italy. With Bernie Sanders out of the presidential race, though, many socialists increasingly have sought a cause to support. They apparently found it...

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has no intention of dropping out of the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, and as the July convention draws closer, his decision to keep his campaign alive may mean chaos for the Democratic party. Five more states have suspended their Democratic primaries amid concerns about coronavirus, and it may soon be impossible for any candidate to win a majority of delegates. The New York Times reports that Indiana, Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Maryland have now joined Ohio in postponing their presidential contests, leaving the future of the Democratic presidential nomination uncertain. Ohio, of...

The executive director of the Illinois Democratic Party said Monday that the party is struggling to gather enough volunteers for Tuesday’s primary election as the coronavirus spreads across the country. Mary Morrissey called for volunteers who are outside of the population most vulnerable to the virus when speaking with Hill.TV on Monday. She confirmed that the party has seen volunteers drop out because of the virus. “That is the biggest crisis in terms of the election right now is we need election judges,” she said. “It’s critical that we have election judges tomorrow,” she added. The Illinois Democrat said “one...

LAS VEGAS, NV—Presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg took quite a beating in last night's debate and was rushed to a nearby Las Vegas hospital. Of course, a normal-sized hospital and normal-sized ambulance are far too large for the miniature billionaire, so he was rushed to a very tiny hospital in a very tiny ambulance. Bloomberg was quickly wheeled out to a Hot Wheels ambulance on a cute little stretcher where he was then driven to The Las Vegas Center For People Who Need Medical Attention And Want To Get Some Emergency Care Too, which is small enough to be a "hospital...

Summary: Let’s look at the cosplay festival that is Campaign 2020, as the candidates pretend to be what they are not. Their voting records tell the true tale to those that listen. Dazzled by our glorious revolutionary future. The presidential election of 2020 is a costume drama, with the candidates all wearing masks. Trump pretends to be a populist, behind which is the standard GOP team (who have run their standard policies: tax cuts for the rich, deregulation of corporations, waving anti-trust to build cartels, crushing unions, etc.). The Democratic Party’s candidates play more elaborate cosplay games. Sanders runs as...

This Democratic presidential nomination battle has the feel of the party’s disastrous 1972 contests that resulted in a 49-state landslide for Republican incumbent Richard Nixon over left-wing Sen. George McGovern of South Dakota. That Democratic tussle, like this one, featured a multicandidate field navigating an uncertain and volatile Democratic electorate. Like this race, with socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders making the party establishment extremely nervous, the 1972 primaries pushed to the fore a candidate, McGovern, seen as so radical that party insiders appeared to be in full panic mode. And, as in this year with Joe Biden, in 1972, a former...

Elizabeth Warren admitted defeat in New Hampshire Tuesday night. She claimed to be still plotting a path forward for her presidential campaign, but, at this point, it has nowhere left to go. With results still coming in, MSNBC has projected that Warren will come out of the primary with zero delegates. At best, she'll be in a distant fourth, well behind Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, and Amy Klobuchar. This was a disastrous night for Warren on top of an already lackluster showing in Iowa last week.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has won the New Hampshire primary, Fox News projects, catapulting the 78-year-old self-described democratic socialist to the front of the still-crowded Democratic presidential primary field.

Asked by a volunteer how results would be transmitted from one place to another, the staffer demurred. “Those are all excellent questions, and we’re still working out some of the details around those ...” she said. In interviews, volunteers said they received little information at the training beyond a rough outline of how the tool is supposed to function. They also were unsure how the party plans to carry out its four-day early voting period, which previously relied on the use of an app to capture people’s preferences. Morrison said that there was “not a bit of proof” at the...

On Sunday’s broadcast of ABC’s “This Week,” 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang argued Democrats should not be treating President Donald Trump as the cause of all problems. Yang said, “To me, it’s clear the reason Donald Trump is our president today is that we automated away 4 million manufacturing jobs that were primarily based in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Iowa, the swing states he needed to win.”

FLORENCE, South Carolina, October 29, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) ― A Catholic priest refused Holy Communion to Joe Biden, former U.S. Vice-President and current Democratic presidential candidate, because of his public support for abortion. Biden, 76, was refused communion by Fr. Robert E. Morey at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Florence, South Carolina during Sunday morning Mass. “Sadly, this past Sunday, I had to refuse Holy Communion to former Vice President Joe Biden,” the priest subsequently told the Florence Morning News. “Holy Communion signifies we are one with God, each other and the Church,” he continued. “Our actions should reflect that.” “Any...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, one of the most influential voices among young liberals and a rising Democratic star, plans to endorse Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) for president and appear with him at a rally on Saturday, according to two people with knowledge of her plans. The surprise endorsement is a political coup for Sanders, 78, who has been fading in the polls and has faced growing questions about his age and health. Before Tuesday’s Democratic debate, he had been sidelined from the campaign trail for two weeks by a heart attack. “We’re looking forward to Saturday,” said Corbin...

Why did we elect corruptible Republican and Democratic representatives? The question implies that the Republican and Democratic Political Parties are merely two cheeks of the same corrupted ass. The root of the answer lies in this adage; a candidate who advocates robbing Peter to pay Paul will very likely gain Paul's support. We elected the Republican and Democratic representatives who oppose President Trump. Why do they oppose President Trump? Is it because of his policies? Is it his demeanor? Is it that he not a seasoned politician, which is why I voted for him? I think exposing President Obama’s inept...
