Illinois Democratic official says primary volunteers quitting amid outbreak

The executive director of the Illinois Democratic Party said Monday that the party is struggling to gather enough volunteers for Tuesday’s primary election as the coronavirus spreads across the country.

Mary Morrissey called for volunteers who are outside of the population most vulnerable to the virus when speaking with Hill.TV on Monday. She confirmed that the party has seen volunteers drop out because of the virus.

“That is the biggest crisis in terms of the election right now is we need election judges,” she said.

“It’s critical that we have election judges tomorrow,” she added.

The Illinois Democrat said “one of the biggest challenges for the election authorities” was finding new locations for voting after polling places were moved out of nursing homes. She noted that school closures have allowed more school buildings to become available for polling.

“In terms of efforts to protect volunteers and protect workers, the election authorities have made sure that the workers have gloves, that there’s hand sanitizer,” she said, adding that when she voted Friday there was sanitizer at every voting station.

No one even cares about anything else. Maybe now is the time to do whatever Trump wants on the border?

Gov. Fred Flintstone has shut down schools, museums, libraries, banned Illinois bars and restaurants from being open, all cuz of the Coronavirus scare, but elderly people packed into a VFW Hall waiting in line to vote for Democrat machine candidates and all touching the same pens, papers, touchscreen machines, etc., is A-OKAY!

Now I WISH I had Early Voted this year. Never trusted that scam, but I trust Election Day even LESS this year!

Because although Bernie’s socialists are maybe twenty percent of the party, they area huge portion of the volunteers who do the work.

The DNC wants them removed.

They need to get hazmat suits for all the workers. The Clinton Foundation or George Soros can foot the bill.

Does that include the bosses in the back rooms who are stuffing the ballots for Biden?

As a former election judge and poll watcher here in Illinois, you couldn't be more wrong.

Election Judges and poll workers here in Illinois are mostly those 60+ years old.

Last time I was an election judge was in 2008 and at 46 years old at the time I was EASILY the youngest election judge in the township.

I don’t know about Illinois but there is no way in Ohio that you could train an election judge overnight.

If you had a lot of election judges quit you simply could not open your polling place.

And yes I am STILL “undecided” the freakin’ DAY before the damn election. Longest time I’ve been “undecided” since I STARTED voted in the George W. Bush era! I haven’t even “decided” if I’m voting in the meaningless GOP primary or pull a RAT ballot for the first time in my life and screw with their nomination process. Here’s my analyis looking at both parties ballots:

GOP PRIMARY

President - Pointless “race” between Trump and flakey unknown RINO Rocky de la Fuenta. Trump will get 98% of the vote in the primary.

Delegate to the national convention - All three Trump delegates running unopposed

Senator - Curran has a similar background as Norm Coleman (in my book, that’s a good thing) as a former decent pro-life RAT who got off the plantation and joined the GOP for sincere ideological reasons. Internet conservatives love Peggy Hubbard, there used to be some “Hubbard Watch” thing on Facebook and she has tons of baggage. I’m convinced she will say or do something embarrassing in the general and self-destruct, going down as another Todd Akin, Roy Moore, etc. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

States Attorney - Christopher E. K. Pfannkuche is the only ACTUAL Republican but has no chance in the general election. Pat O’Brien has a far more “ballot friendly” name but is a lifelong RAT and a RAT plant, and will likely not even BOTHER to campaign in the general election. Meh.

All the other offices on the ballot have the exciting choice of NO CANDIDATE

RAT Primary

President - 10 RATS still on the ballot but only Biden, Bernie, and Tulsi still running. I think Bernie could hypothetically win the IL primary and hang around longer even though he has an only 5% chance of winning the RAT nomination at this point.

Delegation to the National Convention - Tulsi has NO delegates. Only enough, Andrew Yang’s entire slate of delegates are still on the ballot, though.

U.S. Senator - DICK Durbin unopposed in RAT primary

U.S. Congressman - Bobby Rush has three opponents, all of whom sound horrible and to his LEFT. “Community Activist” Robert Emmons dreams of being the next Barack Obama, Sarah Gad is cute but a freakin’ communist, and Ameena Matthews is a clone of Ilhan Omar. I think I met her husband once though, and he seemed like a pleasant enough guy.

States Attorney - The absolutely horrible Kim Foxx has three opponents, not sure which one has the best chance of taking her out. I think Bob Fioretti is the only RAT that ISN’T 100% horrible on EVERYTHING but he has little chance of winning the primary?

Judge Vacanies — Oodles of them on the RAT primary ballot, have no idea who ANY of these people, or if there are any decent RATs running in Crook County whatsoever. It’s like finding a needle in a haystack

If I’m “leaning” anywhere tonight, I’d say about a 70% chance I don’t bother voting in the primary for the first time in my life. If there was no Coronavirus scare then I’d certainly vote, but I’m disgusted that Fred Flintstone won’t let me even eat a meal at Denny’s but wants to drag elderly people out to vote for his machine goons on election day.

They have a new early voting thing, I presume for touchscreen on election day too, before it printed a printout you got to look at behind glass and then it casted it.

Now it prints it out and you take it over and a lady initials it and then you feed it into a machine.

Go early in the morning if you can, beat the crowd, if indeed there is any crowd, I expect low turnout especially since it looks over between Biden and Bernie.

Some states are postponing, I think it’s better to get it over with.

I wouldn’t worry about just catching it by going out in the Chicago area. Not YET anyway. I tried to get into a restaurant tonight but they were booked. The Bristol, try the Monkey Bread if they survive. Portland is closing it’s restaurants, my brother is a chef there.

What is Hubbard’s baggage besides that thing you mentioned about calling Black voters M-Fers?

One reason I didn’t go rat is because of all the judicial races, they matter but I didn’t wanna bother to research them and I’m not comfortable under-voting or just picking with no info.

I’m torn about how judges should be (s)elected.

Pretty absurd you can “run for President” here with no delegates running. The “beauty contest”

I remember I voted for Santorum when he had no delegates.

I’m going to be cynical. When Trump wins reelection, how many complaints will there be that the dems weren’t “given enough time” to “properly go through the election process?”
