ITHACA, NY--A quarter-of-a-century ago it began as a small group. Now, more than 560,000 members later, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is the largest national lobbying group working for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights. It was almost 10 years ago when Brenda Marston, curator of the Human Sexuality Collection at Cornell University's Library first contacted the HRC to encourage the preservation of the group's historical records.
