Sen. Ted Cruz , R-Texas, said Wednesday that former President Trump's indictment was an attempt by Democrats to boost their chances in the 2024 election. “It is not subtle, and it's not complicated. This is straight out election interference by the Biden Department of Justice," Cruz said on the Wednesday episode of his podcast, "Verdict with Ted Cruz." “My biggest sentiment was that it was thoroughly underwhelming. There's very little there there," he said about contents of the indictment itself. “This is a political indictment, brought by a political prosecutor, working for a political attorney general working for a political...

Spam. As we get into the election cycle, my inbox and spam folder are filled with spam from campaigns. I donated to Cruz in 2015-2016, still get repeated mail despite unsubscribing. I donated to Trump 2016-2022, still get repeated mail despite unsubscribing. I get spam from local, national, and obscure candidates from around the US. Some days, half the email I receive is political spam warning of this or that calamity and begging for money. Unsubscribe is futile.

Cocaine found in the White House probably does not belong to Hunter Biden, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) surmised recently. “What is bizarre is they say we can’t figure out who it is. Now I will say something odd, which is there’s lots of speculation on Twitter: ‘Oh, a bag of cocaine in the White House it’s gotta be Hunter’s.’ You know my guess is it probably isn’t Hunter’s,” he said during an episode of his podcast Verdict with Ted Cruz.

Allred’s campaign told The Hill that it will report bringing in more than $8.6 million for its Federal Elections Commission (FEC) report for the second quarter, which ended last week, including almost $6.2 million raised since the campaign launched in early May.

Republicans in the U.S. Senate and House have filed legislation to ban federal employee retirement money from being invested in funds requiring compliance with ESG and DEI policies. The Stop TSP ESG Act was filed in the Senate by U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Eric Schmitt, R-Missouri. A coalition of Republicans in the House led by Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colorado, filed a companion bill on May 17. If the bills were to pass, it’s unlikely the president would sign them as his administration is advancing ESG and DEI policies, including a Department of Labor rule change over which 25...

DeSantis 101May 25, 2023 | Sundance | 74 CommentsNow that the people who created, manage and construct the branding for Ron DeSantis have finally made the admission to push their puppet into the 2024 race, we should probably talk about what the person representing their quest is all about.First, the obvious. Notice how the managers will not allow Ron DeSantis to hold a public campaign event in Florida? This is a tenuous time for them, and they cannot allow the optics of DeSantis being protested by Republicans in his home state to undermine their effort. DeSantis must be shielded in...

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) ended up giving Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) a history of her own party after the progressive responded to his criticism of the NAACP's recent travel advisory in Florida. “This is bizarre. And utterly dishonest,” Cruz commented on the NAACP’s claim that Florida is “hostile to Black Americans.” “In the 1950s & 1960s, the NAACP did extraordinary good helping lead the civil rights movement. Today, Dr. King would be ashamed of how profoundly they’ve lost their way," Cruz added. AOC followed up, encouraging Cruz to "tell people what happened to the parties after that," referring to the...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., invited her colleague from across the aisle in Congress, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, to educate Twitter users on the history of America's diametrically opposed political parties, and his answer is unlikely what she expected. **SNIP** AOC inserted herself into the dialog by saying, "Why don’t you go ahead and tell people what happened to the parties after that, Ted." Cruz took her up on the offer and responded in a tweet thread, saying, "Sure. – First, the Dem party founded the KKK. – Then the Dem party wrote Jim Crow laws. – Then the Dem party...

The country's largest advocacy group for LGBTQ+ rights has suspended its equality and inclusion rating for Bud Light over its poor handling of the backlash that followed from a partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Last week the Human Rights Campaign told the Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch that it had suspended its Corporate Equality Index score - a tool that rates companies' friendliness to LGBTQ employees. The suspension of Anheuser-Busch's CEI score means the company 'no longer has the right to use the 'Best Places to Work' distinction,' HRC's letter says. Before the suspension, Anheuser-Busch had a CEI score...

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) announced his intentions to investigate Bud Light's relationship with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney Wednesday due to the impact it has on impressionable children. "I can't think of a company in modern times that has more alienated its customer base and seemed to have so little understanding of who it is that actually drinks Bud Light," Cruz told Fox News host Brian Kilmeade. "This week I sent a letter to the CEO of Anheuser-Busch, along with Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), because the CEO of Anheuser-Busch is also the CEO or the chairman of the Beer Institute, which...

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), a ranking member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, will not support Sen. J.D. Vance’s (R-OH) bipartisan railway safety bill in the wake of a disastrous train derailment that has rocked the small community of East Palestine, Ohio. Last month, a Norfolk Southern train derailed in East Palestine, with a population of less than 5,000, leaving chemicals spewing into the community’s environment. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources estimates that more than 43,000 fish and other aquatic animals were killed as a result of the toxic chemical spill, while residents have reported feeling sick,...

An American businessman arrested in Communist China over a decade on apparently flimsy charges of drug trafficking will be put to death, Chinese government officials have announced. Mark Swidan, a Houston, Texas businessman, was arrested in November 2012 and sentenced to death in 2018 on charges he was in China to smuggle illegal drugs. John Kamm, chairman of the Dui Hua human rights foundation, tells Newsweek “the only ‘evidence’ against him is that Swidan once visited a factory where Chinese authorities allege the meth was manufactured, and that he had been in a room rented by another person where drugs...

Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz (R) called on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to support Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential run.Gaetz made the comment during a speech on Saturday at a Trump rally in Waco, Texas. During his speech, the congressman credited the success of both DeSantis and Cruz to Trump because of how the former president supported them as candidates in their respective races.“Only Donald Trump could have rescued us from Hillary Clinton. Without Trump doing three rallies in the final week in the 2018 election in Florida, my governor today would probably be Andrew Gillum,”...

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s “political persecution” of former President Donald Trump as “utter and complete crap.” “The case from the Manhattan District Attorney, if they bring an indictment and charge him, is utter and complete crap…It is flimsy. It is weak,” Cruz said on his latest Verdict podcast episode. “It has been rejected by prosecutor after prosecutor after prosecutor. And it is obviously political retribution and a political persecution. “[Bragg] hates Donald Trump. Now he has a right to hate Donald Trump. But he doesn’t have a right to abuse and corrupt the justice...
