Searching For Answers: From New York newspaper columnists to an Illinois senator, the liberal left is blaming the Tea Party and conservative stars for the shooting of an Arizona congresswoman. How about blaming the communist and Nazi-loving shooter? It didn't take long for New York Times columnist Paul Krugman to blame the Tea Party and Sarah Palin for the shooting outside a Tucson supermarket that seriously injured Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords and left six others, including a 9-year-old, dead. Writing Saturday, as the shooting was still fresh and little was known of the shooter or the circumstances, Krugman spoke of a...

Politicians love a crisis. It gives them an excuse to push silly freedom-killing laws that will do nothing to address a perceived problem, but makes them feel good. Case in point: The Caucus Blog at the New York Times reports that Pennsylvania Democrat Bob Brady plans to introduce a bill banning symbols like "that now-infamous campaign crosshair map." The map in question is one used by Sarah Palin in an ad showing targeted districts in the 2010 elections. The left wing Daily Kos used a similar map targeting blue dog Democrats for defeat, but little mention is made of that...

Hat tip to Extremely Extreme Extremist who pointed out long ago that Palin used surveyor symbols, not crosshairs.

SIERRA VISTA — There’s a little trouble at home with Republican congressional hopeful Jesse Kelly’s recently born son, Luke. “He sleeps all day, so he must be a liberal,” Kelly told an appreciative crowd of more than 80 people Saturday as he warmed them up to a conservative stump speech in which the target was two-term Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Noting they are tied at 46 percent according to the most recent poll, Kelly said, “In a couple of months I’ll be your congressman.” Unlike Giffords, who last week would not use Kelly’s name while in Sierra Vista, he...

An unnamed senior officer in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards warned Thursday that Iran would strike Israel if it is targeted, no matter who the attacker is. According to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai, the officer said, "Iran has thousands of surface-to-surface missiles, including improved Zelzal-2 and Al-Fatah 110 missiles, with which it will set alight all of the oil towns, facilities and infrastructures of the neighboring countries, if these serve as platforms for attacking it.” Any attack upon Iran will lead to a massive missile attack on Israel, he said, including the nuclear power plant at Dimona, no matter where the...

Muslim groups reacted angrily after it emerged that the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan were using rifle sights inscribed with coded Biblical references. The company producing the sights, which are also used to train Afghan and Iraqi soldiers under contracts with the US Army and the Marine Corps, said it has inscribed references to the New Testament on the metal casings for over two decades. The British Ministry of Defense meanwhile announced it had placed an order for 400 of the gunsights with Trijicon but added it had not been aware of the significance of the inscriptions, in a...

Mideast: Iran tests an advanced warhead design as it gets caught shipping weapons to Hezbollah. Syria is reported to give the group operational control over Scud missiles. It's five minutes to midnight. Tyranny abhors a vacuum. While the U.S. and the West dither in Hamlet-like fashion over whatever we shall do in places such as Afghanistan and Iran, the Axis of Evil is in full swing in its plans to destroy Israel and threaten Europe and America. Israel last week seized what it said was the largest arms cache ever intercepted in the region. Israeli navy commandos boarded the Francop,...

Sarah Palin's Facebook page features a map of the United States with rifle-scopelike cross hairs on the districts of 20 Democratic members of Congress she wants her followers to take "aim" at in the fall elections. Some people may be taking her literally. The recent arrest of nine militia members underscores the potential connection between provocative speech and ideologically motivated violence. The former-Alaska-governor-turned-conservative-icon has denounced violence: "When we take up our arms, we're talking about our vote." However, Palin and her handlers must understand the lesson taught by King Henry II. Frustrated by Archbishop Thomas Becket's defiance of the royal...

A national magazine has singled out Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger – only this time as a bad guy. The guv is often praised by mags for his environmental stances. But Field & Stream has named him "Villain of the Year" for cutting funds for fisheries and signing a ban on .50-caliber rifles. The governor beat out Paul McCartney and the president of PETA. And to rub salt in his wound, the mag named Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as a hero.

Editorial Reviews Ann Coulter, author of five NY Times bestsellers, including "Godless." Christopher Hitchens, commentator and author, "No One Left to Lie To." Kathleen Willey on Fox now talking about Bill Clinton. She says "Hillary is worse than he is. She works the War Room while Bill goes out after women." Also, "Hillary was behind trying to destroy me. It's her job to protect Bill and destroy his and her enemies." I'm sure this will be rebroadcast. Her book has just been released.

Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign faced damaging allegations yesterday from one of the women who claim to have been groped by former president Bill. Kathleen Willey suggests in a new book that the former First Couple could have been involved in her husband Ed's death. Willey, a former White House aide, alleges a campaign of slander and intimidation has been waged against her by Hillary since she made the sex assault allegations. Her book "Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton" details what she says are the threats made against her by the Clintons and their allies. The...

PI 'admits' Hillary paid him to harass WilleyKathleen Willey's new book publishes for the first time an alleged admission by private investigator Jack Palladino that he was hired by Hillary Clinton to investigate Willey and bore responsibility for acts of harassment and intimidation designed to silence her explosive testimony of sexual assault by President Clinton in the Oval Office. In "Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton," released this week by World Ahead Publishing, WND Books' partner, Willey presents the claim by San Francisco talk-radio host Melanie Morgan, who recounts a private conversation she had with Palladino...

Former Bill Clinton presidential aide Kathleen Willey is set to release a memoir of her time in the White House and the time since she accused Clinton of making gross sexual advances on her. In the book, titled "Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton" and set for release Nov. 6, Willey identifies the mysterious man who threatened her just before she testified against Clinton before the Ken Starr grand jury. Willey alleges the man is tied to Clinton and his wife Hillary. Back in September, Willey said that thieves attempted to steal her book manuscript from...

JERUSALEM - Israel's army chief suggested Tuesday that Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat (news - web sites) and Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah would eventually be assassinated by Israel. The army chief, Lt. Gen. Moshe Yaalon, was asked whether, after Israel's killing of Hamas founder Sheik Ahmed Yassin, Arafat and Nasrallah would be next. "I think that their (Arafat's and Nasrallah's) responses yesterday show that they understand that it is nearing them," Yaalon said. "In the long term, I hope that this will be a sign to all those who choose to hurt us that this will be their end," Yaalon said....
