2008 presidential hopeful George Allen urged his Senate colleagues on Sunday to "put the pedal to the metal" on immigration reform and "first and foremost, secure the borders." "[For] the people out there in the real world . . . this is a hot issue," Sen. Allen told CBS's "Face the Nation."
