The rifle used by the alleged 22-year-old attacker who killed five at Colorado Springs’ Club Q Saturday night was purchased “legally.” ABC News reported the officials briefed on the investigation into the attack say the attacker “legally purchased” his rifle. Friday afternoon around 2:00 p.m., deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Offices responded to reports of a bomb threat on Rubicon Drive in the Lorson Ranch neighborhood, just south of the Colorado Springs Airport. Seven people are dead, including the suspected gunman, after a mass shooting early Sunday at a home in Colorado Springs where a birthday party was being held. Police say the shooting happened at about 12:15 a.m. at a trailer home on the 2800 block of Preakness Way in the Canterbury Park subdivision just west of the Colorado Springs Airport. A bathroom bomber planted an explosive device inside a portable toilet on the Springs’ northeast side Sunday night No one was hurt, but numerous residents reported hearing the blast just after 9:30 p.m. One woman told 11 News the sound was so loud it ended up muffled on her security camera. Police and firefighters responded to the 1700 block of Dublin, where they found the remnants of the toilet and pieces of a bomb near a construction site.
