Fasting eternal The late terrorist mastermind Abu Musab Zarqawi is doing more than pushing up daisies. He's fasting, too. Yes, that's Zarqawi -- or at least his ancestral tribal name -- along with his hometown of Zarqa, Jordan, listed on Code Pink's roll of protesters who are "fasting" in hopes that U.S. troops will be withdrawn from Iraq. And how did the once-notorious terrorist's name wind up on the peace and social justice group's list, among celebrity fasters like the ice-cream-licking Cindy Sheehan? It was submitted by a merry prankster from the D.C. chapter of FreeRepublic.com, we've learned, a conservative...

There I was, across the street, a six lane street. Just me. And my little camera. I stood quietly on the empty sidewalk taking pictures of the Code Pink protest at Walter Reed. The one that used to be at the main entrance to the hospital, until they forgot to renew their permit for that location. Now, they've taken to infesting a location down the street, in front of a small sidewalk park, but still in front of the hospital. I had gone down alone, with my camera and tripod to document their little public protest. I had less than...

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan is now "channeling" her slain son, Casey, from heaven, suggesting he's calling President Bush "an idiot," and she claims to have "tens of thousands of angels" supporting her cause to bring U.S. troops home immediately. "When I get up [to heaven], he's gonna say, 'Good job, mom,'" Mrs. Sheehan said in a speech last night upon her return to Crawford, Texas. "He's not going to say, 'Why'd you make me spin in my grave?' you know. And I can just hear him saying, 'George Bush, you are really an idiot. You didn't know what you were...

Code Pink leader Jodie Evans, in a blog posted from the World Tribunal on Iraq, today gave her open support to the terrorists in Iraq who are killing American soldiers and IraqisWhile some may wonder, "is this news?" it is, indeed. Code Pink has been very careful over the past three years to maintain a front of being a peace group. In fact, it's complete name is Code Pink Women for Peace. The veil slipped when co-leader Medea Benjamin shot her mouth off in Jordan last December when she proclaimed the group was giving $600,000 in cash and aid to...

If it's Friday night, you have a date with the DC Chapter as we stand outside Walter Reed Army Hospital in support of our troops, especially those recuperating at WRAMC from their wounds. As almost everyone here at FR knows, the liars from Code Pink hold a publicity-seeking "vigil" every Friday night outside the gates of Walter Reed; and we will be there to counter their lies. They hate it when we do that. WHO: Freepers and lurkers in good standing. WHERE: Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 7200 Georgia Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. We will gather at the northeast corner...

Today we met in Fayetteville, NC to Freep a motley rabble of socialists, anarchists, Code Pink-os, and other throwbacks to the 60's! As usual, we were well outnumbered by their hordes of college students, aging hippies and other bused-in protestors, but we held our own as always. Please post any reports and observations on this thread only.

Yet another grafix-filled post from yours truly, this time documenting our monthly Republicans Club meeting here in Venice, which featured Congresswoman Katherine Harris as speaker. This inspired a protest by some pink-clad whacko ladies who both protested outside, as well as attempted to distrupt once Ms. Harris started to speak. We shut them down in both cases, and the local ABC affiliate, Channel 7, was there to get it all on camera. I will be taping their broadcast from 5 to 7 PM tonight to make sure I don't miss it. As the left suffers defeat after defeat every election...

Military Families Delegation to Iraq participants will be in Washington, DC Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to share stories of their personal experiences in Iraq. On November 29th, ten family members of US military personnel who had served or are serving in Iraq left the United States to travel to Iraq. Their purpose was to see first hand how the war in Iraq was being conducted and to bring a message of peace to the people of Iraq. Included in this group was Fernando Suarez del Solar who lost his 20-year-old son died on March 27, 2003 when he stepped on...
