During a press conference on Thursday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) reacted to the Centers for Disease Control telling states to be ready to distribute a coronavirus vaccine by November by remarking, “How convenient. It’s going to be an Election Day miracle drug.” Cuomo also announced that the New York State Department of Health will undertake a review of “all the protocol and research by the FDA and whatever federal authorities say it’s safe and effective” before they recommend that New Yorkers take the vaccine.

U.S. equity markets tumbled Thursday after Dr. Anthony Fauci dashed hopes that a COVID-19 vaccine was coming soon, contradicting documents from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has told state governors and health officials to be ready to distribute a possible coronavirus vaccine by Nov. 1, reports said Wednesday. I was possibly exposed to COVID 19 over the weekend and was surprised to see this on the CDC Website: A couple of things: 1. Exposed means being closer than 6 feet to a KNOWN or suspected COVID carrier for at least 15 minutes. In that criteria isn't met then the CDC doesn't consider it exposure to COVID 19. As the number of individuals hospitalized with COVID has dwindled over the past few weeks, the CDC finally recommended against 14 day quarantines for travelers.
