John Zeigler: John went to USC to witness and ask questions about Katie Couric getting the Walter Cronkite journalism award for her interview of Sarah Palin. He intended to also give away copies of his film but was literally prevented from doing so. He did not go there hoping for or expecting any sort of confrontation, especially with law enforcement. He was simply shocked and horrified by what happened there, as should every freedom loving American. He did absolutely nothing wrong and was handcuffed, detained and literally abused by law enforcement at the event. The video speaks for itself, John...

I see they are all there.THIS SHORT STREAM is REALLY a study in contrasts. Who amongst us will truly be surprised, though? The anti-American MSM double standards should be clear for all to see.Two years ago, lawbreakers on our soil are praised; yesterday, decent American citizens out in support of the Constitution are ridiculed, slandered or abused.TRUE Americans are made to feel like lawbreakers on their own soil by these buzzards.

This is just the sort of bias against Sarah Palin and her family that is de rigeur in the Old Media. CBS seemed taken aback in an April 6 report that Governor Sarah Palin could possibly still be relatively popular "despite the negative news" that she has been confronted with of late. But all the "negative news" that CBS is so sure should torpedo Palin is little else but the soap opera of family struggles, none of it is based on any substantive issue that is a result of her actual efforts in office. It appears as if CBS wants...

This is an actual sweepstakes and, if you are the grand prize winner, we will fly you and a companion to New York where you will receive a free colonoscopy. You will also be given three nights' accommodation in a suite at the luxurious Loews Regency Hotel, which will include the night before you are "awarded" the colonoscopy. What should you expect if you are the lucky winner? The hardest part is the preparation the night before when you drink a laxative. This laxative is well known for declaring itself at the very moment you have called a relative or...

“Limbaugh’s Favorable Rating: 19 Percent,” shouts the headline at the top of CBSNews.com tonight. A look, however, at the PDF of the full CBS News poll results, posted at 6:30 PM EDT Tuesday, pegs House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's favorable rating a point lower at 18 percent -- within the margin of error, but evidence Limbaugh is no less popular than the leader of congressional Democrats. (Friday's CBS Evening News highlighted President Obama's 62 percent approval level and a few other results about the bailouts, but didn't mention the Limbaugh or Pelosi numbers.) CBSNews.com's Brian Montopoli had a news hook...

On Monday’s CBS Evening News, correspondent Ben Tracy filed a report documenting the thousands of guns that are illegally smuggled to Mexican drug cartels which they use in battle with the Mexican army, and suggested that lax gun laws in America are to blame. Without delving into the possibility that greater availability of guns in Mexico might help the country’s citizens to reduce that country’s overall crime rate, Tracy informed viewers that it is "nearly impossible" to buy guns in Mexico legally, as he pointed out America’s less strict laws: Mexican law makes it nearly impossible to buy guns there...

VETERAN journos Michael Wolff and Jeffrey Toobin may want to pull an "Odd Couple" number and share an apartment. As we reported yesterday, the very married Wolff, 55, has clammed up over reports he's been having an affair with gorgeous Victoria Floethe, 28, who works at his newser.com blog. Now, CNN legal correspondent and New Yorker writer Toobin, 48, who's married, is staying mum about a report that he and sexy lawyer Casey Greenfield, 35, the Yale-educated daughter of CBS newsman Jeff Greenfield, have a relationship that "crossed the line." Gawker.com pushed that claim further, saying that Casey is in...

[Video! HaHaHa! Incredible.] Ahhhh, Joe Biden. Once again he’s proven that he is the comedy writer’s best friend. This morning he went on the CBS Early Show to hype Obama’s “stimulus” program and the new government website that lets us track how our money is being spent (or China’s money, as the case may be). Unfortunately for poor ol’ Joe, he had to admit he didn’t know what the website is. In fact, he didn’t appear to know what the internet is. “You know, I’m embarrassed,” a flustered Biden admitted. (Looking for help off camera) “Do you ...

On ThursdayÂ’s CBS Early Show, co-host Harry Smith opened the show by declaring: "As President Obama heads on his first foreign trip, some state governors are saying 'thanks, but no thanks' to the stimulus money, even in these desperate times. We'll ask one of them why." Later, co-host Maggie Rodriguez interviewed Republican South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford and asked: "Even if it takes a while to get the money, how do you justify, let's say, not taking it to your constituents when in your state, for example, in December had the third highest unemployment rate in the country. Don't you...

Everyone who has been in the military, especially to Iraq or Afghanistan, within the last few years needs to watch the first part of this video. Look at the "military equipment" CBS is pushing as recently stolen or "looted" from US Forces. You will notice that it's equipment we aren't even issued. Also, they blatantly lie when attempting to show night vision equipment, which isn't night vision equipment at all. (see video at link) Right off I see many inconsistencies with the equipment they say is stolen from US forces. 00:02 the video shows some a series of boots. Out...

CBS Corp. says it saw profits fall 52 percent in the fourth quarter because of weaker advertising sales. And the broadcast network is slashing its quarterly dividend to 5 cents per share, instead of 27 cents. CBS said Wednesday it had a net profit of $136 million, or 20 cents per share. That's down from a profit of $286 million, or 42 cents per share, in the same quarter a year ago. Revenue fell 6 percent to $3.53 billion. Analysts expected earnings of 26 cents per share on revenue of $3.56 billion, according to Thomson Reuters.

CBS declared itself "Mentally Strong" in a news release the other day, trumpeting the big ratings for the network's latest hit drama, " The Mentalist." Fiscally fit, however, is the question. The broadcasting giant today reports quarterly results, and Wall Street is bracing for grim numbers -- and looking for CBS Corp. to outline a strategy for how it will navigate the choppy waters ahead. snip But all that isn't of much help right now for CBS, which is uniquely vulnerable to the recession because nearly 70% of its revenue comes from advertising. TV and radio stations have been battered...

On Monday’s CBS Early Show, co-host Maggie Rodriguez asked Republican Congressman Eric Cantor about President Obama’s proposed housing bill: "Unlike the stimulus, will you urge your fellow Republicans in the House to support this?" When Cantor criticized the proposed bill and the passage of the "stimulus" bill, Rodriguez declared: "But Congressman, it's clear that Americans are begging for help with foreclosures. Corporations are begging for bailouts. Can the Republican Party accept that there are situations when large-scale government intervention is necessary?" Cantor began to explain that Republicans supported some aspects of the "stimulus," but Rodriguez quickly interrupted him: "But...

On Thursday’s CBS Evening News, anchor Katie Couric introduced a report on the Democrats’ so-called "stimulus" plan about to pass Congress: "And we'll tell you what's in it for you, including tax breaks...It's designed, in part, to get you spending again by giving you the money to do it." However, in July of 2001, when President Bush was trying to get tax cut legislation passed, then Evening News anchor Dan Rather warned: "...new worries that his big tax cuts, along with a shrinking budget surplus, are re-shaping the political and fiscal landscape of the country." Following Couric, Correspondent Nancy Cordes...

DOBBS: Former President Bill Clinton today speaking out on balance in the media and calling back the Fairness Doctrine, the former president talking with radio talk show host Mario Solis Marsh (ph). (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) VOICE OF BILL CLINTON, FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: Well you either ought to have the Fairness Doctrine or we ought to have more balance on the other side. Because essentially, there's always been a lot of big money to support the right-wing talk shows. And let's face it, you know Rush Limbaugh is fairly entertaining, even when he's saying things that I think...

The economy may be in a recession, but the network news anchors were thrown into full scale depression when House Republicans unanimously rejected Obama’s stimulus bill. “The President went up to the Hill to personally appeal to Republicans already,” Katie Couric sighed. “What more can he do?” “Republicans relentlessly attacked the bill,” wailed CBS reporter Chip Reid, “despite the President’s extraordinary efforts to get bipartisan support.”...

President Obama’s pick for Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, is being urged to lay the foundation for “global governance” by considering “international taxation” measures to loot more money from U.S. taxpayers. The recommendation is included in the report, “The Global Agenda 2009,” which is being considered by the World Economic Forum (WEF), meeting in Davos, Switzerland, January 28th - February 1st. The WEF is not an official government group but does include dozens of government, corporate and labor leaders at its annual meetings. Media companies such as News Corporation (parent of Fox News, the Fox Business Network, and the Wall Street...

“So, can you see Wisconsin from your Chicago mansion that Tony Rezko helped you buy?” OK, that was not Katie Couric’s opening question to Pres.-elect Obama in an interview aired in part on this morning’s Early Show. How soft was the Evening News anchor? Downy soft doesn’t begin to describe it. Twice Couric went so far as to help the president-elect answer her own questions. Now that’s the kind of interview a president could get to like! Here was Katie’s actual opening salvo. KATIE COURIC: Are you starting to realize the enormity of your new job? Hard-hitting stuff! And the...
