Helicopters are being used to get access and fight the growing Brown Fire near Garden Canyon in the Huachuca Mountains Monday morning. Firefighters from the State Wildland department, based from Fort Grant, will be joined by a Hot Shot crew from Silver City, N.M., on the fireline, when they can be airlifted to the remote scene. Right now, helicopters are using a staging area in Lower Garden Canyon to refill for water drops, and to conduct an aerial survelliance of the fire.
