While no charges will be filed by the Kenedy County Sheriff's Department against Cheney for assault, the possibility exists that the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department may cite him for hunting lawyers without the mandatory Texas Non-Resident Special 5-Day Lawyer Stamp Endorsement affixed to his temporary hunting license. Cheney will not be charged with hunting lawyers out of season, as the lawyer season is year-round, especially in Texas.
