I left the Space Program as a contractor back in 2009, my wife and I have been raising Alpacas on our farm though since 2005. My wife is big into the Social Networking thing especially Facebook and various Yahoo Groups. Last night she was reading a very interesting post from a Fellow Alpaca Rancher in the South. He stated that he was getting multiple phone calls from Chinese students at a nearby university asking about the Alpacas and how easy they were to raise, The fiber products made from them, etc. He then stated that he was now having carloads...

A COUPLE who had dreamed of farming alpacas near North Nibley have been told they have nine months to find somewhere else to live. Emma and Rodney Bird, of Bird Farm Stancombe, have had their dreams shattered after their appeal against Stroud District Council’s decision to refuse them permission to live on their alpaca farm failed. The couple’s second appeal against an enforcement notice issued by the district council for placing a caravan on site without planning permission was also unsuccessful. Mrs Bird said: "It has been a bitter blow for us to lose our appeal to live onsite with...

I received this Youtube Link in an e-mail. I thought it was excellently done and I wanted to share it with you all. Also I think it is a devastating commercial and really should be shown on National TV during this campaign period.

It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes God smiles on us. Last week, he smiled on investigative reporters everywhere, when the lawyers for Goldman, Sachs slipped on one whopper of a legal banana peel, inadvertently delivering some of the bank’s darker secrets into the hands of the public.

Though they happened more than three years ago, the events still burn in Rodney Cochran’s memory like a hot coal. Cochran hasn’t had any of “that” since Sept. 8, 2008, when all of his personal property — valued at $150,000 — was seized as he was being evicted from a three-bedroom home he was renting in Moreland. He was $1,225 behind on his rent. (Snip) Cochran, who now lives in his native Casey County, has been trying to prove it shouldn’t have happened ever since. He’s got a lawsuit pending in U.S. District Court in Lexington that alleges the Gilliams...

WASHINGTON (AP) - The financially troubled Postal Service is suspending its employer contribution to the federal employee retirement system.

The agency said Wednesday it was acting to conserve cash as it continues to lose money. It was $8 billion in the red last year because of the combined effects of the recession and the switch of much mail to the Internet. It faces the possibility of running short of money by the end of this fiscal year in September.

A vanity question here. A friend of my wife was asking for advice. The situation: Her Husband works for the City. They just received a notice that all of the spouses of the covered employees MUST show up, as in mandatory, for a meeting with the Health Care insurer for a question and answer session and then give a blood sample. So, with that as the situation. Her question to my wife was; Why do they want a blood sample from the spouses? I don't know anything further than what she told my wife. So I think that what I...

Welcome AIG, Citicorp, GM and other stimulees to the financial controls of the stimulator, the federal government. But wait, it is now not just the recipients of Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) money and other taxpayer funds who are to be regulated. According to "sources," the White House is considering salary controls for "all financial institutions" and "publicly traded companies," not just those receiving "federal bailout money."

She suggests that a trust fund be setup to provide for the Soldiers and their dependents who were killed or injured by insurgents since we occupied Iraq. Comments, Suggestions?

Good Morning to you all. A very strange thing happened to me last night while using Internet Explorer. I was browsing a online comics site. (www.Kingfeatures.com) The event was that a red screen came up and covered the entire screen. It had a small dialogue box that said "If you want to see a neat trick press Enter" and there was a yes/no button set underneath. I tried to clear it off and then a 10 second timer started up. At that point I just powered the PC down. When I rebooted I had no problems and I ran a...

I was surprised at my reaction to Security Forces at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. I took my som and my Girlfriend to the Visitor Center at Kennedy Space Center yesterday. Now I am quite aware of hightened scurity at Military bases and Airports and such. But I was still surprised at my reation. After getting our tickets to get in we were met by a row of metal detectors just like you would see at the County Courthouse. Every person was scanned and the wand was used if the bady scanner went off. Every one of the ...
