How about this Carlson quote?

I can almost picture Susan saying this while she rolls her shoulders and tries to look like the sex kitten she never was. Smoke a few more packs Susan!!

I don't think I had the flu after the shot but would more accurately describe it as being wiped out. Headaches, body aches and complete tiredness. I basically slept on and off for a couple of days and came back to 100% after 6 days or so. This was 180 degrees from how I felt the day of the shot.

I have some personal statistics. 6 years of flu shots without ever getting the flu. 8 years with no shots and had the flu about 50% of the time. The last 2 years of shots with no flu and 3 weeks ago with the latest shot that made me feel like I had the flu for about 6 days.

So for me, 50% chance of getting the flu without the shots. 100% immune with the shots until this year when it wiped me out.

My post was about as anti-war as waving a US flag while wearing a Green Beret. It had contact info for two fellow soldiers from my neighborhood that were in need of support from a group like ours. Both are in Iraq and have seen some recent tough times (101st and the other a WO with the MPs). Thread was pulled b/c it included my contact info as well as theirs.

I understand now the caution necessary from DOD. Guess we all need to pray individually and pass along addresses privately. Neighborhood and community newsletters are ok but online public forums are not. So lets keep those soldiers in our prayers. Fairly generic given our close knit community but better to be cautious...

Thought it would be great to create a groundsell for a couple of soldiers from my neighborhood that have seen some tough times recently.

Isn't this the same "Richardson" that appeared on the talk shows with his Marine son that had attended all private schools before joining the military? If so, his enlistment caused his alma mater to form internal councils as to why this should happen... At the time the Dad was saying how proud he was of his son despite the flak he was taking from his rich friends and neighbors. I could have sworn that was the same Richardson that's now questioning our President's authority.
