  • Nightmare result for [PM] Gordon Brown as SNP triumph over Labour in Glasgow East

Although given the ideology of Labour vs. SNP, it wouldn’t be like Pelosi being replaced by a Republican, but by Greenie moonbat Cindy Sheehan.

That's a very good comparison actually, only very recently the SNP helped setup and fund the Scottish Islamic foundation with a £215,000 grant from it's ministers.......

Yes, any blow for Labour is a good one at the moment but trading them in for the SNP is like divorcing Whitney Houston and then marrying Amy Whinehouse when you know deep down you should have married Keira Knightley.

I believe this project of the Union for the Mediterranean would increase illegal migration and terrorism and give a justification to Islamist extremists to step up Jihad attacks. These extremists would explain it as crusade against Islam and European colonisation," he said. "They will talk about jihad in Europe. This project is frightening. This project is dangerous.

You know what he's actually right we don't need any type of union with North African countries, nor do we need any of there rape happy illegal migrants that infest northern Europe.

The only contact we British/Europe should have with North Africa is when we go there on holiday and spend..........they never complain then, especially if we're buying Tunisian leather jackets!

Sarkozy is out of his tree on this one!!

Mostly he wants to grow the govt and increase taxes.

Oh no, the BBC and lefty's over here will just be drooling over him it's just what the corporations left-wing think tanks love and adore what they've always wanted and dream't of, a potential black American president with big govt and big taxes.

I can see it now, wall to wall coverage of Obama's visit like it's the second coming, one and two hour specials every night just dedicated to every aspect of his life......spare me please!

I'll just miss the news for a week or so and put on a Steve Mcqueen film instead......problem solved!

A good point of departure, in my opinion, would be when they did away with treason as a crime.

That's a very good point you make, it was done away with in 1998 just after Tony Blair got in here.

I never know why Americans admired Tony Blair the guy is a traitor himself, him and his government done everything they possibly could to destroy what was left of the old Britain and it's Christian values, he's one of the reasons this ugly sharia law keeps crawling out of the sewer into the news lately.

At least in America you're a nation of gun owners should the s*** hit the fan.

  • UK: Labour finish behind BNP in election humiliation

I’ve read that Brits are subject to so-called “green” taxes, such as an airline tax, a tax to drive into London. Are these the types of taxes you’re are getting hit with?

    Yes, stealth taxes abound!

For an average British fellow making 100,000 pounds annually, how much tax might he pay?

He'll be in the 40% tax bracket so he'll see roughly £60,000 of that.

Generally, are Londoners happy that Red Ken is gone?

Yes, Ken was a big waster of public funds and channeled them into unelected non-accountable quangos that could have instead been used for better transport systems and public utilities. To his credit new mayor Boris Johnson has said he's going to have a bonfire of all this unwanted bureaucracy, but it's early days yet to know whether to believe him or not.

Mr Howell said that his victory was “a message to Gordon Brown to get off our backs, stop the endless tax rises and help us cope with the rising cost of living”.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg, I've never seen people so angry with high taxes as they are now.

I predict in the next two years, huge street demonstration's against suffocating taxes, immigration and state interference, and that's just for starter's. People with disposable income aren't too interested in civil disobedience but just you wait till the money start's running out like it's doing now...

Britain should put this to a referendum. Instead, they intend to ram it through Parliament because they are afraid of the outcome.

Europe don't recognise the voice of it's people, it views them as just dumb animals and it takes the view that populist opinion among voters leads to leaders like Hitler. That's why the idea of a European empire ruled by only elites who know what's best for us arose after WW11.

The Irish NO vote will be seen as a baby throwing it's toys about the pram that's all, Europe will carry on ignoring it's people regardless.

Believe me, people all over Europe, not just in the UK are going to see the real horror of the overbearing eurocractic empire that they've blindly ignored. Peace comes at the price of eternal vigilance and we've been asleep for at least 30 years.

You can see while the other European countries didn't let their citizens vote.

We were promised a vote in Britain by Tony BLIAR till he changed his mind.

Anyway, it's a pint of Guiness for me and big toast to our Irish neighbours for derailing this undemocratic monster that threatens the whole of Europe.

I think this will play well - he has to distance himself from Cameron. David Davies was the best Tory leader we never had. Watch this space..

I made the mistake of commenting before I watched his speech fully, to be honest he gets my full support on what he stands for, he's a man of principle and puts this before his own career and interests.

I just hope and pray that the issues of liberty get brought to the forefront like they deserve to be, he'll win the seat I agree...

I can’t imagine that the Irish spent all that time struggling for independence from London just to submit to an unelected bureaucracy in Brussels.

It would be ironic if our neighbours chose this unelected monster to rule over them from an unaccountable office in Brussels giving them no choice in any of their laws and trampling on their culture like the EU are so good at doing.

Apparently Gerry Adams and Sinn Fein oppose the EU treaty as militaristic, I wonder where their stomach for a good fight against imperialism went? we haven't heard hardly a peep out of him or Martin Mcguiness.

Anyway here's to our Irish neighbours and hoping for the best, you can be sure I'll be raising a glass of the black stuff to you if you succeed in derailing this new EUSSR...

MEPs were called on by the watchdog to stand up for openness in Brussels and oppose an attempt by the European Commission to reclassify which documents are available for public scrutiny.

They'll realize what these documents were one day when it's too late to reverse the authoritarian constitutional changes being made secretly all over Europe.

It'll take nothing less than a full scale revolt to remove the authoritarian EU monster that we've allowed to grow so big, the corruption and back hand deals with big corporations that these guys do stink to high heaven, we don't know a quarter of what goes on but we do know what happens when politicians and bureaucrats are never called to account for their actions.....

A British “conservative” is about like the average Democrat here...

That's about right, but politically correct liberalism has infected conservative party's the world over including the US.

The only country's in the world I see not infected by this social disease are Italy and Israel. Silvio Berlusconi described illegal immigrants as an army of evil, I mean even the BNP over here wouldn't dare say that and they're a fringe party!!

so Labour may end up with a net loss of around 200 seats?? Hee haw, now if Red Ken goes down hard I will really be able to celebrate!

It's a good start certainly, the London mayoral elections is the important one though for so many reasons and if Ken sinks this evening they'll be champagne bottles popping everywhere over here in Britain. I've got a few extra beers in the fridge just waiting.....

Do you see the BNP as having any sort of a real chance?

In some local areas they will do well and possibly better than they've ever done before, plus get two seats on the London assembly but no major breakthrough in the next two years, but then again who knows? people are pretty angry out there now.

It's sad that we ever managed to get to this point in the first place though!

The jackass police chief needs to take up a collection from his worthless department and replace this little family's possessions. It's the least he could do.

Police in this country now are just cowards and only want to deal with the easy crimes like somebody making a racial comment, you'll get a policeman round in two minutes flat to deal with that one.

At one time issues like that were way down the priority list and burglary with an axe right at the top, voting in the conservatives at the next election won't solve the problem they're the same as Labour, sadly only a party like BNP or UKIP will see to our broken society that's how desperate we've become unfortunately.

In Riyadh on Monday, he hailed Islam as "one of the greatest and most beautiful civilisations the world has known" and described his Saudi hosts as rulers who "appeal to the basic values of Islam to combat the fundamentalism that negates them".
