I remember waiting years and years for Falcon 4,0, as it bankrupted company after company. When they finally released it in December 1998, I was ecstatic. The highest level of detail at the time. The code was leaked to the public a decade later and upgrades and mods kept it alive for quite a while. I heard MircoProse bought Falcon back, but I don’t know their plans for it.
I was one of Netflix’s FIRST customers, waaaay back in 1998. Finally, 23 years after I joined, I had enough with their woke nonsense and quit the service. They’ve asked me to rejoin, and I’ve repeatedly sent them the reasons for quitting. They’ve never responded, other than more requests to rejoin.
One of the first modern cases of Adverse Posession involved a JUDGE who saw his neighbor’s land and built a pathway across it. The pathway existed for over a decade, when the judge decided to file a claim against the land. And WON.
He knew the land wasn’t his, but he encroached anyway and was awarded that portion of the land that he “claimed” with the path. It’s crazy.
As for staking, remember these laws go back to a time when there weren’t really accurate surveying methods or tools. A lot of land wasn’t staked/fenced and wasn’t required to be fenced. We’re talking about huge tracts of land.
