President Bush Re-Election Rally in Central Point, OregonPresident Bush came to Southern Oregon on October 14th, 2004 and rallied folks here for his re-election campaign. Crowds were estimated up to 15,000, which is a LOT of people in one place for this neck of the woods! There were a few protesters outside, but once inside the gates, everyone was a Bush supporter, and I said to myself "This must be what HEAVEN is like!"The pictures below tell the story. My sister Niquita (on the right) and her fellow co-worker Becky before they interpret for the deaf for President Bush. The...

Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall Comes to Grants Pass, OregonLast weekend, June 24th-27th, 2004, the Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall came to Grants Pass, Oregon. A touching tribute to the over 58,000 fallen heros of the Vietnam War, this Wall is a replica of the one in Washington D.C.The four days of events included a flyover, bagpipers, speeches by local politicians and veterans, and an awards presentation by representatives of various Indian tribes. It was sponsored by Point Man Ministries, The Vietnam Veterans of America - Three Rivers Chapter #867, and former Oregon State Senator Brady Adams. The Wall was open 24 hours a...

This is the email I placed to GKG earlier, regarding them suspending FreeRepublic.com: Dear GKG, I am totally amazed that you shut down one of the world's biggest sites, FreeRepublic.com, because one of their PHONE NUMBERS was bad! I am stunned that you would be so unprofessional. There were three other numbers that were correct, you could have called them, and why would a mistyped phone number warrant actually shutting down the entire site??? I tell ya', my ISP is on shakey financial grounds, and we have been considering moving to another domain server, but after hearing of the absurd...

Ashland, Oregon Rally ReportWe had a great rally in Ashland, Oregon this past Saturday, with around 60 people showing up to support us. Not as many people as have been showing up in Medford, which is only 10 miles away but worlds apart culturally. Ashland is a liberal, artsy-fartsy college town and Medford a blue-collar industrial town, just a few scant years removed from its logging and mining roots. The anti-war people stood right next to us, on the same side of the street. They didn't really give us a bad time, other than the incessant drone of their ever-present drum....
  • Pro-America rally in Ashland, Oregon this Saturday

There will be a Pro-America rally this coming Saturday in Ashland, Oregon, in the main square. The weekly series of Women In White rallies in Medford (to counter the weekly Women In Black protests) is expanding to Ashland, Oregon. The Medford rallies have been fantastic, as Medford is solidly Pro-America and conservative, but in Ashland, just 20 miles away, it's completely the opposite. There have been flag burnings, the Mayor was quoted as saying "I'm not gonna have the police stop the protesters [from civil disobedience] because there are more of them than there are of us," and the latest...
