Within two months it was stage 3 and involved some ribs. I had three months of chemo, along with radiation, and the following month removal of left lung and two ribs. The doctors were astonished at the speed at which it advanced. I don’t smoke. I’m not overweight. I was relatively healthy for a post MI 70 something. I don’t claim direct correlation, but before those vacs, my husband and I were both pretty healthy farmers.
