To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine... And those who don't. As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria found in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop. However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting. Remember: Water = Poop, Wine = Health Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of shit. There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service.

    Reuters ^ | 11/20/2007 | Dmitry Solovyov,
MOSCOW (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Russia's nuclear forces must be ready for an adequate response to any aggressor and warned Moscow could not remain indifferent to what he termed NATO's "muscle-flexing." Putin, speaking to top generals less than two weeks before December 2 parliamentary elections, said the NATO military alliance had built up its forces close to Russia's borders. "We cannot allow ourselves to remain indifferent to the obvious 'muscle-flexing'," Putin said, RIA news agency reported. He said Russia's strategic nuclear forces -- its long-range missiles -- should be ready to deliver a "swift and...

BOSTON – Students who attended private schools do not have the same protection against unreasonable searches as students who attend public schools, the state’s highest court said yesterday in a ruling some legal analysts said could lead to arbitrary searches of backpacks or lockers. The Supreme Judicial Court drew a distinction between public school officials and private school officials in the case of three Catholic school students who were arrested after drugs and alcohol were found in their hotel room during a school ski trip. The court said that public school officials are agents of the state and therefore subject...

  • Islamic militancy.

Islamic militancy arose from Mohammed’s new belief – actual or assumed – that conversion did not necessarily require a deep, sincere change in conviction on the part of the individual that it could be – and, if necessary, should be – forced by any means of coercion available. Many so-called Christian leaders, including members of the clergy, have triad to coerce conversion through the use or threat of force, but Christian doctrine has always held that the true conversion requires a sincere change of hart by the individual. Mohammed, however, advocated conversion by the sword and slaughter of those who...
  • HELP! Shepherd Smith at Fox News is misleading voters!

    11/07/2006 3:26:52 PM PST · by SeeSalt · 55 replies · 1,612+ views
At 5:30PM on Fox News Shep Smith said that voters on the East coast had only 1.5 hours left to vote and then at 5:45PM that they had just 1hour and 15 minutes left, implying that voting would close at 7:00PM, when it really closes at 8:00PM. Sounds like what had happened in Florida when CNN used the same technique to turn away late voters!

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England’s Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said: "A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in ... and how many want out."
