The full weight of the Democratic majority is being brought to bear on the president's absolute right to conduct foreign policy. Meanwhile, the government is selling 58 post office buildings through a firm owned by Sen Feinstein/s husband, for which he will earn nearly a billion dollars commission. During the Obama admin, the government threatened to withdraw g i bill eligibility from the University Of Phoenix, its stock went from 100 to 3, a close friend of Obama bought it, the suddenly the government withdrew its threat and the stock went back up( this is detailed in Schweizer's book). There...

I haven't watched baseball since Curt Flood. I am watching tonight. I was a diehard Dodgers fan when they Drysdale and Koufax. Are they not using wood bats anymore ? The bats have strange color and make a different sound than what I used to hear. When did they start wearing their pants that droop over their shoes?

Rush Limbaugh states that he has discovered that only 12 to 15 liberals have developed a way to make them look like thousands of posters on social sites and emailers to companies. Is this possible and if so, why can't our side do the same thing?

I live in the Florida panhandle. I have a couple of bird feeders in my yard and I keep them filled. For the last few weeks, I haven't had to add any food. It dawned on me that there are no birds in my yard anymore. I used to have many cardinals along with jays, doves, woodpeckers and all the little ones I am not smart enough to identify. I thought it was just me, but I had dinner with two of my neighbors the other night and they brought up the subject asking where the birds have gone. Have...

Last year, my old Windows Vista machine became slower and slower. I decided I needed a new computer, but one look at the Windows 8 format turned me off. My wife was being treated for leukemia in Birmingham, Al, so I went to the Apple store there and bought a MacBook Pro. I paid about sixteen hundred dollars for it. My wife passed away last May so I haven't been able to use the machine much, but I have decided it is not for me. The main thing is that it was a complete hassle to try to install a...

I have an IPhone 4S. Since my wife passed away in May, my brother has texted me frequently to check on me. Until Dec 15, he was able to receive my replies and any texts I sent him. Now, he can receive and send texts to and from others but cannot receive texts from, me. I receive his texts and when I type a reply and hit send, I see the little line move across the top and here the whoosh sound. But, there is no "delivered" message or date/time stamp. He has an Android phone and uses ATT. My...

I need some computer advice. I have 4 computers at home. Two laptops and two desktops. One laptop has Windows 7 and is used by my wife for genealogy research and net surfing. The others are mine and they have XP (desktop currently needs new MB) Windows 7 (desktop) and Vista (laptop used in my traveling and some of my work. I absolutely hate the Vista machine. It is slow and even slower when running multiple pages. I have run every correction and restoration program available on it and I still hate using it. When I use it at work,...

Last March 23, my wife of 54 years was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia with a positive Philadelphia chromosome. She spent several weeks in the hospital, underwent chemotherapy with all it's problems, and still maintained a positive attitude. She had prayers from all over the country, including from you all on FreeRepublic. On November 27, we went to the University of Alabama Birmingham medical center to begin a clinical trial on a new drug that had only been tested on rats and monkeys. She was required to have at least ten percent leukemia cells in her bone marrow to qualify for...

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE - The Pentagon's weapons testing office wants to delay F-35 pilot training because of safety concerns. Initial training for the jets at Eglin Air Force Base is scheduled to start in November. Bloomberg news say the director of operational testing wants that pushed back as much as ten months. He says the F-35 "Has not yet met the prerequisites previously set for reducing" air-mission abort rates and "resolving other safety-related issues." Those issues include software fixes for a flaw that grounded the jets for two weeks in August. A Department of Defense spokesman says the Air...

I work as a contractor for the Air Force. The weapon system I work on produces a video output. When I have to analyze this system and write a report, I would be able to cut a frame from the video and insert it in my report. I could do this when our computers used XP because I would type, start, run, mplay32.exe and play the video that way. This was the only way I could cut out a video frame and insert it in my report. Now, the Air Force in all its wisdom has given us Vista and...
