Hi folks. My wife just got back from a trip to Chicago. She had a great time; she prefers it to New York, and she's a New Yorker! Anyway, she asked me to ask you Chicago Freepers a question: Why are there so few campaign signs in the Chicago area? She traveled not just downtown, but out to the suburbs as well, but only saw 3 signs over several days. How come?

Hi folks. I bought my wife a Delphi Sky-Fi radio for my wife's birthday and had it installed in our SUV. Right away we started having trouble. The signal would cut out often, from one second to an hour. The installers tried a different antenna but with no improvement. Anyone have experience with this problem? TIA.

Is there a pool going? There should be two, I think: 1) When will be the first sighting of US troops on the CNN Baghdad cam? 2) When will the statue of Saddam in the trafic circle bite the dust?

Hi folks. Spring is finally here after a long, icky winter. Time to lighten up a bit! So, here are a few "Spring Is Here" haiku: Spring is here at last! Grass grows green where dog poop thaws Mower tune-up time! Mower needs new plug, Water in gas tank must go No compression! Dang. The old Briggs is dead. Trip to saw and mower shop A manly pleasure. Checkbook is empty All hail the brand new Toro The grass will tremble. Gas tank is top't off Mower starts on the first pull Now the rain has come.

Hi folks. After retiring my old PC (AMD K62-300), I want to convert it into a Linux Box networked to my new XP box, with a router handling the cable modem connection. I would like to have the old box be pure Linux, without a Windows partition of any kind, but I forsee a problem with the install. I bought a set of Mandrake 8.1 CD's and a new hard drive on Ebay...I'll be starting from zero. So no drivers for the CD-ROM. If I just pop the Mandrake CD into the slot will anything happen? TIA.

A lovely nose ring-- excuse me while I put my head in the oven. After the warm rain the sweet smell of camellias. Did you wipe your feet? Her lips near my ear, Aunt Sadie whispers the name of her friend's disease. Looking for pink buds to prune, the old mohel wanders among his flowers. Today I am a man. Tomorrow I will return to the seventh grade. The sparkling blue sea reminds me to wait an hour after my sandwich. Tea ceremony-- fragrant steam perfumes the air. Try the cheese danish. Lacking fins or tail the gefilte fish swims ...
