LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The blowback has been strong since Wendy's announced last week it will soon start testing dynamic pricing. Wendy's is looking to test having the prices of its menu items fluctuate throughout the day based on demand, implementing a strategy that has already taken hold with ride-sharing companies and ticket sellers. The fast-food burger chain is now backing down on the idea. Right now, no matter when you pull up to a Wendy's restaurant, the price is the same. But during a conference call earlier this month, Wendy's CEO Kirk Tanner said that the Dublin, Ohio-based burger...

There’s little debate that modern-day American universities, public education, mainstream media, Hollywood, and political advocacy groups are dominated by leftists. This is no accident, but part of a deliberate strategy to pave the way for communist revolution developed more than eight decades ago by an Italian political theorist named Antonio Gramsci. Described as one of the world’s most important and influential Marxist theorists since Marx himself, if you are not familiar with Gramsci, you should be. Gramsci wrote in the 1930s of a “war of position” for socialists and communists to subvert Western culture from the inside. facebook sharing button...

A number of Republican and MAGA figures have reacted angrily after The Houston Chronicle, one of the biggest newspapers in Texas, endorsed President Joe Biden. The Houston Chronicle's editorial board said they would be backing Biden in the Democratic primary and for re-election so he can "make life better" for the American people as well as prevent the "chaos, corruption and danger to the nation" that would accompany his presumed 2024 Republican challenger Donald Trump returning to the White House. The Houston Chronicle's praise for Biden will be a boost for the Democrat as he seeks re-election in November. It...

Nearly half of Americans have $500 or less in their savings accounts, an amount that leaves them vulnerable to unexpected expenses, according to a GOBankingRates survey of 1,063 U.S. adults conducted in November 2023. About 29% of respondents have between $501 and $5,000 in their savings accounts, while the remaining 21% of Americans have $5,001 or more. Few hold much cash in their checking accounts as well. Of those surveyed, 60% report having $500 or less in their checking accounts, while only about 12% have $2,001 or more. The lack of cash in either savings or checking accounts suggests that...

The "Keys to the White House" are being handed out, predicting President Biden currently holds a slight lead in a hypothetical 2024 matchup against former President Donald Trump. Allan Lichtman, an election prognosticator who has correctly predicted nearly every presidential race since 1984, developed a formula that is used to make predictions about an upcoming presidential election - and in many cases, it proves to be accurate. Lichtman's "Keys to the White House" consists of 13 true or false questions that he believes establish a strong indication of who will be named the victor on the fall ballot. Each question...

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Forty-five years ago, in late January 1978, the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes regions experienced a once-in-a-lifetime blizzard that crippled the aforementioned regions and set records that still stand to this day. Even forecasters themselves who gave the warning that this big system was on its way were bewildered at its results. Viewers share 1978 blizzard photos and you can share yours System setup: A strong low pressure system and arctic airmass was dropping southward out of...

A California woman who stabbed a man she was dating 100 times and killed him, before turning the knife on herself and her dog, has been handed 100 hours of community service. Bryn Spejcher, 33, was given the astonishingly low sentence following psychiatrists' ruling that the tragedy was '100 percent' caused by cannabis-induced psychosis, which she suffered after taking two hits of the victim's bong. The judge ruled that Spejcher 'experienced a psychotic break from reality' and 'had no control over her actions' when she killed Chad O'Melia, then 26, on Memorial Day weekend 2018.

Jordan Peterson says “the war has barely started” after losing his bid to have the courts bar the College of Psychologists of Ontario from ordering him to undergo remedial social media training. On Tuesday, a panel of three judges with the Ontario Court of Appeal dismissed Peterson’s motion for leave to appeal an earlier decision by the Ontario Divisional Court. No reasons were given, which is normal for the appeal court. “A higher court in Canada has ruled that the Ontario College of Psychologists indeed has the right to sentence me to re-education camp. There are no other legal avenues...
