I have heard that questions on this year's census are an invasion of privacy and unconstitutional. I've heard we will be intimidated to answer all the questions. QUESTION: Can someone post the legal challange we can use to thwart intimidation? Specific articals of the constitution or whatever? We need to fight back with what remains of our legal rights! Please post whatever links will hold up in court. I plan on fighting back but want to win.

I'm asking for help. My daughter is an A+ student in her senior year at the University of Illinois studying to be a veterinarian (College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences). She has been on the Dean’s List every semester and has been given academic scholarships every year. She has been recognized as a leading volunteer and has been ranked as one of the top students in her program. Her grades and achievement (objective criteria) could not be higher. Here is the dilemma. After completing her application for Veterinary School at U of I, which included an essay, she has...
  • Politically Correct College Team Names

What is behind this invention of offense to Native American team names primarily by non-Native Americans. You won't here an Irishman or a Greek complaining about the Fighting Irish or the Spartans. Conversely, it is considered an honor. This use of feigned victimization in order to cause change in someone else’s behavior reminds me of the experiment with monkeys who have to push a lever to get a banana flavored pellet. The result being that the monkeys learned to use the lever increasingly more often to increase their gratification. It seems that those who can't master their own lives find...
  • People Who Vote Twice; A sudden crackdown on an old trick.

MSN Slate encourages voter fraud! http://slate.msn.com/id/2108807/?GT1=5472 See the last two paragraphs: For all the new concern about double voting, though, the odds of getting caught remain minuscule. Comparing voter databases county by county and state by state is a needle-in-haystack undertaking, even with the aid of computers. Why not vote twice then? Michael Moore probably shouldn't do it. But you probably could. Just don't tell any reporters.
  • My letter to Governor Blagojevich re: HB 1118 - tuition breaks paid for by current students

Dear Governor Blagojevich: As a life-long Illinois resident, I would like to express my opinion regarding House Bill 1118 which you recently signed into law. Specifically, I believe that House Amendment No.1 ruined the intent of the bill and creates an injustice to current students and their families. The bill was introduced to provide that the tuition charged an undergraduate student who is an Illinois resident shall not exceed the amount that the student was charged at the time he or she first enrolled in the university as an Illinois resident if that student enrolled not more than 3 and...
