Really, and if I go to the Southern Poverty Law Center website, it will probably have a nice lawyer sitting at his desk surrounded by laws and such to. But if I look closer I will find that the SPLC takes a whole lot out of context, in order to paint me and you as right wing nutjobs that want to beat up gays, blacks, and our mothers. Like I said, if a site, or a group wants to be taken seriously, tell me who is funding it. There are billions of sites on the internet, and many of the political ones are fraudulent fakes funded by soros, etc. Do your research on many sites, not just one that might have an agenda. who you vote for is up to you, but do it based on your own research, not what others tell you to think. That is what dems do, we are smarter than that.

Thats why I don’t trust it. Any site that hides its ownership is suspicious in my mind. And not only that, but look up follow the Wiki link in my post above. Why in the hell would wiki lie about Romneys record, it is public knowledge. Like I have said a thousand times, Romney is scum, but he is 10 times better than Obama. If for no other reason than to get rid of the corrupt eric holder.

Yes, i have seen that posted a thousand times from that site. Do you know who owns that site, because just like the other anti romney site posted from frequently, its backers are hidden behind a proxy. On the other hand, I can read thousands of news sites from that time, as well as look at Mass law, and I can’t seem to find any that agree with that article. Then again, there is also the fact that I was following the issue closely, because by ailing father at the time, he passed away last year, anyway he was from Mass, and was deeply interested in the fact that his former states courts were forcing gay marriage down the throat of the people, and there wasn’t a damned thing the gov could do to stop it. Romney is bad in a lot of ways, but to pretend that the bastard in the WH is not 10 times worse is to ignore reality. And to pretend that anyone else has a chance to win is beyond reality.

Cmon, that is exactly what I’m talking about. If you follow the link you will see that that was addressed to Tennesee Nana, not you. Hell thats okay, the other day she was saying how much she was against the American Revolution, so I guess she is anti everything.I don’t think you are anti anything , but it wasn’t about you. And you may notice that the post above yours said that Romney was going to legalize bigamy like he legalized gay marriage, neither of which are true, and very juvenile. And as for Mia, you might notice that the hardcore types haven’t discovered her yet, once they do, watch out. If we are supposed to start making fun of everyone that supports Romney over the next few months, you know like Newt And both Ricks, and Palin and West, the only ones left will be Obama and Paul supporters. Good luck with that. Now really, I have to go, have fun.

Look at the post right above yours, then get back to me ok. Romney didn’t legalize gay marriage any more than Nixon legalized abortion, and if anyone truly thinks he did they should learn about the power of the courts over the governor. As I posted on an earlier thread which was ignored by all http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2878708/posts?page=13#13 You and others have posted that Romney favors gay marriage, but when I search I find this:

    from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Governorship_of_Mitt_Romney#Same-sex_marriage

    Same-sex marriage
For more details on this topic, see Same-sex marriage in Massachusetts.

When he ran for governor in 2002, Romney declared his opposition to same-sex marriage.[71] “Call me old fashioned, but I don’t support gay marriage nor do I support civil union,” said Romney in an October 2002 gubernatorial debate. He also voiced support for basic domestic partnership benefits for gay couples. Romney won the endorsement of the Log Cabin Club of Massachusetts, a Republican gay-rights group, who in 2005 accused him of reneging on his 2002 campaign commitment to support some benefits for gay couples.[72] He also opposed an amendment, then before the General Court, that would have banned same-sex marriage and outlawed all domestic partnership benefits for gay couples. When campaigning in 2002, Romney’s stated position was that “All citizens deserve equal rights, regardless of their sexual orientation. While he does not support gay marriage, Mitt Romney believes domestic partnership status should be recognized in a way that includes the potential for health benefits and rights of survivorship.”[73]

Romney strongly opposed same-sex marriage during his governorship. He emphasized his desire to “protect the institution of marriage” while denouncing discrimination against gays and lesbians. “Like me, the great majority of Americans wish both to preserve the traditional definition of marriage and to oppose bias and intolerance directed towards gays and lesbians,” Romney said in 2004.[74]

On June 2, 2006, Romney sent a letter to each member of the U.S. Senate urging them to vote in favor of the Marriage Protection Amendment.[75] In the letter, Romney stated that the debate over same-sex unions is not a discussion about “tolerance”, but rather a “debate about the purpose of the institution of marriage”. Romney wrote, “Attaching the word marriage to the association of same-sex individuals mistakenly presumes that marriage is principally a matter of adult benefits and adult rights. In fact, marriage is principally about the nurturing and development of children. And the successful development of children is critical to the preservation and success of our nation.”

Romney’s letter was his second effort to persuade the U.S. Senate to pass the Defense of Marriage Amendment. On June 22, 2004 he testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, urging its members to protect the definition of marriage. “Marriage is not an evolving paradigm,” said Romney, “but is a fundamental and universal social institution that bears a real and substantial relation to the public health, safety, morals, and general welfare of all of the people of Massachusetts.”[76]

Romney attempted to block implementation of the decision of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court that legalized same-sex marriage in 2003. Romney criticized the decision as harming the rights of children:

Now do you have some legitimate source that says otherwise, or is this the real story?

As you can see Romney has always been against gay marriage, and if you look on the same page, you will see he has always been against amnesty and illegals. Now the fact that that info is easily available to find, and everyone chooses to ignore it, tells me there is something else going on. Now as I said, I am signing out, you guys can laugh at me, zot me whatever, but it won’t change the truth, goodby

The site has obviously been taken over by 3rd party types, as well as anti mormon haters. They don’t care about Romneys real record, or his platform, they just ignore it, so they can revel in their hate. Unreal, and the worst part is its coming from the top, and its killing the site. Have you noticed how few post replies there are anymore? Everyone seems to be hiding so they don’t get banned for voting against Obama. It won’t matter pretty soon anyway, cause they aren’t giving any money either. I hope Jimrob has a change of heart, or this site will be gone by election time. Sad

Well I think the difference was that Clinton was just a “good old boy”, with loose morals and an ego. I never really thought of him as an American hater, just another corrupt politician. Now Hillary, I’m not so sure of, remember, she said she loathed our military, not unlike Michelle with her proud of her country for the first time comments. But unlike Obama, I don’t think they wanted America gone, they just wanted to change it. I really believe Obama, by his words and deeds, wants America destroyed, and he wants to be the one that does it.

I really hope they can do that. I realize Romney and Newt probably don’t personally care for one another, but then again they are politicians, so who knows. I do know that Newt loves his country, and I think Romney feels the same, so maybe they can get together for the good of the country. If someone doesn’t start explaining to our youth what conservatism is, it will die. Just look at online conservative sites, how many people under 25 are members, not many. It is because to the young, we are right wing hate mongers that want to stone gays, put women back in the kitchen, and starve poor people. This is what they have been taught by our lovely media, and someone needs to change that.

Glad to here that, they need to hit this POS with everything they have, unlike Mccain. If the indies don’t like it, they will deserve the future they vote for. We can no longer hold back and let this snake and his allies lie without calling them on it. 2 generations have now been brainwashed into believing the liberal garbage, because our candidates want to be liked by the media. If Romney is smart, he will find a way to get Newt out front as a spokesman, cause right now only him and Rush can explain conservatism to the unwashed masses, and I doubt Rush is going to give up his day job.
