Apparently Earth has at least one, and probably several "mini moons" that follow Earth's orbit around the sun, and most likely come from chunks of Earth's moon blasted out from collisions with meteors and asteroids. Interesting, didn't know anything about this.
  • Soybean based wire coating in vehicles

I'm not sure if car and truck manufacturers are still using soybean based coating for the myriad of wires in vehicles with sensors all over them. A friend just spent over $3k on two vehicles because of squirrels eating the wires. Both vehicles required complete re-wiring, entire harnesses were chewed through. Their pickup truck is only a few years old, the suv a bit older about 4 years. The insurance would not cover the damage, and the manufacturer would not either. Trying to find out if our 2022 Buick Encore has soybean coatings, lots of squirrels, mice and other critters...
  • Exploding deer population in New Jersey

People in many states regard N.J. as not much more than a couple exits off of not so scenic I95. But there is a different world just a few miles north and west, and south central N.J. (Pine Barrens). As the suburbs expand and hunting is not permitted in many areas and less hunters in general, we have a ridiculous amount of whitetail deer. Here in Hunterdon County (ironic name) it's swemi-rural with fields, wood, streams, farms and houses on a couple acres or more. Every morning I see at least a half dozen sleeping under our pines and cedars....

I recently learned where and how vitamin B12 is made. Moat of it is in the form of cyanocobalamin which is used to make synthetic B12. Cyanocobalamin is derived from sewage or milorganite which it is reffered to. Milorganite is also used for fertilizer. Worse, 2/3 of the stuff is manufactured in China. It is in all kinds of cereals, vitamnins, breads, etc. A more healthy option is methylcobalamin. Check it out, many sources available. It may be safe (cyanocobalamin) but it's disgusting never the less.

Spring is here, but still too cool here in N.W. Jersey too start my garden, and way too muddy with all of the rain. Need to dry out before I can work with it. Got a source for manure to turn in and a good sunny spot. Last year I planted some "Yellow Teardrop Tomatoes" never had them before and they were awesome! So sweet and full of flavor. Going to do more this year, 3 or 4 times as much, my friends keep asking me if I'm going to have them again.

Getting more and more difficult to read the news from Fox's website. They want you to sign up and give them your e-mail address and other info. I'm done with them
  • So where is the Seirra Club? Where are all of the environmental groups? Why don't we hear from them about this mess?

The Texas border comprises almost half of the entire U.S.-Mexico border, stretching 1,254 miles across four Mexican states. Millions of immigrants have entered the country through one of Texas’ five Border Patrol sectors. As a result, the Lone Star state’s diverse environment, divided into ten ecoregions, has gradually transformed into a dumping ground for immigrants’ waste.
