The CEO of the children’s hospital was not middle management. It is my opinion that he was a poor leader who raised money for a new hospital that instead turned into just a doctors’ office — meaning he misstated the true use of the funds that were donated. I think he was ineffective and insecure, a puppet and hatchet man for his former boss (the Erlanger system CEO), driven to make profit off the medical staff’s back with shockingly little concern for quality of care, and petty and spiteful in the way he treated others. Children’s Hospital to this day is understaffed, I believe at least in part to the legacy he left. I found him to often speak untruthfully and to be untrustworthy. Yes, I am glad he is gone. Hopefully he will find work in another field where he isn’t anyone’s boss. He would be a good used car or timeshare salesman.
