WASHINGTON — President Biden insisted Friday that he can still beat former President Donald Trump in November — despite a series of fresh gaffes as fellow Democrats call for him to step aside.
The 81-year-old president sought to project confidence — giving the press a thumbs up as he boarded Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington for a day trip to Wisconsin, where he will sit for his first TV interview since his disastrous debate performance last week.
When a reporter asked whether he could still beat Trump, 78, Biden shouted back, “Yes!”
Biden has privately told allies, however, that he may have to cede the nomination if he can’t stabilize his political footing — with his interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, a former Clinton White House operative turned “Good Morning America,” widely seen as a make-or-break moment.
The pre-recorded interview is scheduled to air in full at 8 p.m. Friday.

Georgie could also try to sabotage FJB (the other half of the fifty-fifty) to create an opening for the creature known as “Hillary.”

If the Dems stick with him, all Trump needs to do is to repeat the video of his debate performance and ask “Can America operate with this? What will he be like in 4 more years?”
Why are they pushing a previously pre-recorded interview so hard? I want him to fly to an interview tonight, and I want it to be 90 minutes beginning at 8:00 EST.

The media is trying to raise the bar.
He doesn’t have to hit a home run in the interview. He merely has to repeat some canned answers, and even if he mumbles a few, they can get cleaned up.
I would suspect the interview will be limited to 4-5 questions.
There is a MAJOR ISSUE unfolding. He is dominating media time. Trump is pushed off the front page. This will be noticed by the campaign and emphasized.

A pre-recorded, highly edited to maybe even a deepfake interview with softball questions won’t make his live debate appearance disaster disappear... 50+ million people witnessed a dementia patient being presented as a Presidential candidate... A candidate that very few viewers who actually watched that debacle, will ever vote for.
There will be teleprompters off screen for Biden to read, that is all he can somewhat do now.
