These safe places “for healing” are quickly assuming attributes of such healing places and spas as North Korea, the Soviet Union, Castro’s Cuba, and Mao’s China.

All these have as policy directed mobs to move against any perceived deviation from the party line. They have engaged in full-time propaganda operations from birth to ensure there is no deviation from the party line.

Their use of mobs is chillingly similar to the mobs and “correct-think” now being feverishly promulgated right here through social media, regular media, and academia.

We would be wise not to minimize it simply because many of the participants are young persons, shown through history to be some of the most enthusiastic oppressors.

Yes, Hillary by herself does not look so good. But she will not be by herself. A V.P. candidate will be on the ticket with her.

If that is Jim Webb, a former Marine, Navy Cross recipient, Secretary in the Regan Administration, and former Virginia Senator, that will be a very formidable ticket. Webb is a moderate Democrat and is no pansy when it comes to national defense.

If going against that is Trump, who has spoken very poorly (to put it nicely) of American POW’s and, consequently, has gained the enmity of many veterans and veteran organizations—Hillary and Webb are going to win big, big time. Count on it.

Her social media would have been “cleaned up” well before her appearance if she were a deliberate plant. She would not have been even the person chosen as a plant since she is obviously so well known in political circles.

She comes through as an enthusiastic political neophyte.

She would have been better off by not removing anything from her social media and saying, “So what? I only asked the questions that others won’t!”

If a Trump staffer were to do the same thing at a rally of one of the other candidates, the staffer and Trump would likely be loudly and widely acclaimed as “being aggressive as the American people want”!

    Well noted.

If there were to be a “Bush plant,” it does not take a genius to figure out that an individual would be found whose identification and photographs were not already all over the internet and for a long time.

This woman was not in disguise in any manner. She did not indicate she was anyone but her regular self. And, as you observe, the questions were valid and could have been well asked by any person, woman or man, and in fact are regularly asked of Trump.

It's too bad she didn't ask Trump about his vilification of American POW’s.
    The Democrats certainly will.

Is deprecating POW’s (and thus their ordeals) an indication of Donald Trump’s “strong support for the military”? You don’t know about this? Or have conveniently acquired amnesia?

Those Trump statements on POW’s and by implication to some on all veterans and those now serving will be put front and center in the election by the Democrats.

Too many Republicans have suddenly acquired amnesia combined with mass myopia.

  • Jeb Bush to Trump: What’s wrong with speaking Spanish?

Bush’s comments in Spanish were made yesterday in Miami a place where they were quite appropriate because of the large Latino population there.

There is a huge Latino/Spanish language presence in newspapers, TV, and radio—indeed in about any establishment/place in Miami, from large to small.

Anyone who wants to conduct business in Miami or to just get around there absolutely needs to be bilingual in English and Spanish. And most people in Miami are.

Florida is a key electoral state. Republicans cannot win the Presidency without carrying Florida. Mr. Trump would do himself some good by learning some Spanish and cease insulting those who are proud of their Latino heritage.

Folks would do well to remember, or to learn if they're uninformed or deliberately uninformed, that Ross Perot was a huge supporter of the U. S. military and of bringing the nation's POWS home—and he actively participated in bringing them home.

Contrast this with Trump's blatant denigration of, yes, all American POWs—and in effect all their families and all those who have served or will serve in the U. S. military.

Trump ceased to be an electable candidate at that moment, whether for President or dog catcher, and whether third or whatever party. This factor is being pathologically ignored by all who seek to make reality somehow conform to their wishes and illusions.

“Trump never does or says anything he does not mean, when the chips are down.....and his people love him for it!!!”

    U. S. veterans and their families, along with all citizens with at least a minimum knowledge of history and specifically a knowledge of those who have given national service to America since its founding and what it entails and has entailed in sacrifices and lives, will assuredly agree with the former—not the latter.

It's hard to love someone who has emptied his heart of love except self-love. In that aspect, he is like Obama.

Donald Trump, CIC . . . . . Why, certainly, sir, you can count on the vote, the fervent vote, of every past American POW and their families, and the great multitude of all American veterans and even those currently serving and their families, who just, well, know your despicable/obscene remarks about them and their service are mere chaff in the wind.

We are now in a world where words have ceased to have consequences, right Mr. Trump!

I asked if you had READ the police reports.

Some parties AT THIS TIME assert that juvenile records in Arkansas can be accessed through a FOIA request—namely the retired police chief who seems to have clandestinely released the information, along with perhaps others out to destroy the Duggars.

If such information release were legal, why would the retired police chief have done this clandestinely?? It appears that she and/or others did it for sheer malevolence.

If the FOIA assertion were to stand, youthful indiscretions of millions of youth who have moved on from adolesence would be up for grabs and for full-throated publication in every slime publication and medium. Blackmail would be a major new business.

The cop's personal life and LATER troubles have not been shown to have affected the filing nor content of the juvenile report in any manner.

You didn't reply if you had actually watched and listened to the M. Kelly interviews. Nor did you state exactly what “kinds of things in the TV interviews....don't match the facts.”

Do please tell us the facts.

Finally, we have a factual—factual—history on Obama. Period.

Re: 1) What and who are your sources for just how juvenile Josh “molested his sisters”?

Re: 2) How was information on a juvenile “legally released” when juvenile records in Arkansas are sealed?

Re: 3) How “was a sex crime committed here and....covered up by the parents” when the parents on their own volition took Josh to the local police station to made a statement to the police and comply with any and all laws on the matter?

    4) You have actually read the police reports? And did you watch and, yes, listen to Megan Kelly on Fox the last three nights in which the Duggars, including the sisters affected, spoke openingly and directly on “described Josh's conduct and their own reaction to said conduct.”?

    5) Aren't you playing the nihilistic left game here? Hatred has been directed at the Duggars from the media left and social-media left not because of a juvenile’s poor judgment but because of the family's publicly expressed Christian faith and values, and wholesome life style. That is hard anathema to the left's political correctness.

The U. S. military forces are not “fellow travelers.” Nor are they keyboard warriors.

The constraints on this military come from the Executive Office. If you think otherwise, try making your insipid remarks face-to-face with a military man or woman.

Why doesn't our dear Snowden ever write an op-ed for the NYT on the spying on, intimidation of, and often slaying of Russians who happen to be so brave as to oppose Putin and his government of thugs.

Snowden serves as house-pimp to Putin and totalitarianism.

Why dear child Snowden don't you ever write an op-ed on the spying of Russia on the U. S.?

Why don't you ever mention in your degenerate and putrid utterances that most of the information you stole was critical defense information of the U.S. and our allies worldwide, such as the electronic monitoring of Russia from the outside, and had nothing to do with U. S. citizens?

Snowden’s manifest glee over what is occurring to the national security of the U. S. only reveals how much that security has now been compromised.

Snowden makes the WWII propagandists Tokyo Rose, of Imperial Japan, and Lord Ha-Ha, of Nazi Germany, seem small stuff.

He is a testimony to the naivete of much of the free world today.

Ben Franklin's observations on freedom and security are classical. They are ever-applicable.

Franklin, however, did not live in a post-9/11 world.

Franklin's world was without existence of any concept of terrible weapons of mass destruction including weapons of not just small pox but weaponized small pox, Ebola, diphtheria, and an infinite number of other weaponized and mass-killing biological weapons concocted, and constantly being concocted, in laboratories created by crazed tyrants, fanatics of the worst order, and those who just hate and want to kill—kill all if possible—the inhabitants of America and at least much of the rest of the civilized world.

A big door closed on 9/11.

It was the door to a world we all knew, were safe in, and loved. The door will never open again.

If anyone doesn't think so, let them, for instance, go directly to their aircraft the next time at the airport. Don't show ID—that's an infringement of your liberty and the ID could be used by somebody or something to spy on you. Wave the Security folks a copy of Ben's words as you leap the fence—for the last time.

Your observations are much, much too logical and reasonable.

I suspect they would been most strongly embraced by the some 3000 souls slain in the space of two hours by Islamic terrorists using weapons of mass destruction—commercial aircraft filled with fuel—on 9/11.

Odd that that far-away and long-ago “incident” isn’t mentioned on this thread. Nor by Sen. Rand.
