INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - $475 is what it’ll cost to have one child ride the bus – for a year – in Franklin Township. The school district no longer offers bus transportation, and they’ve leased their busses and transportation center, too. “We’ve sold those buses to CIESC with two provisions,” says Franklin Township Superintendent Walter Bourke. “The first provision is they can only transfer Franklin Township students. The second provision is that if we want the buses back, we can buy them back for what we sold them for — which was $1.”

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is considering a proposal that could diminish the protections you receive from Indiana's Telephone Privacy law. Please take a moment to review the following information. The FCC is considering preempting state Telephone Privacy laws in favor of adopting one lower national standard. While the legal arguments about preemption are complicated, the practical result could mean that you will receive more unwanted telemarketing calls. Should the FCC try to preempt state law, you could receive unwanted calls from some companies that you have previously done business with...credit card companies, phone companies, and anybody else that considers...

The Indy Freepers are meeting this evening at 7:30 at the Fox & Hound. It's on the south side of 82nd Street between Castleton and Clearwater shopping areas, behind Logan's Steakhouse. Sorry for the short notice - I should have posted this yesterday. Story of my life . . . a day late and a dollar short! Sure hope some thoughtful Indy Freeper can cover me when I'm short on my tab. Everyone come and have fun - you'll recognize us from the smiles on our faces and the great conversations going on.

Our family needs Freeper prayers in the worst way. Our 27 year old son sprained his back a couple of weeks ago. He's been staying at our house (Everlovin'Hubby has been taking good care of him). His back wasn't improving and he started running a temperature, so back to the Dr for tests. The tests showed a strep infection in the bloodstream. We found out this evening, this infection of unknown origin has now pretty much destroyed his aortic valve and invaded his spinal column. Open heart surgery will be performed in about 4 days. Please keep John and the ...

Please use this thread to post names, phone, fax and e-mail contact numbers for use with our elected representatives on a National, State and local level. This is also a good place to keep track of local media numbers and upcoming state and local legislation. Let's start gathering in those names and numbers!

With the possibility of all the court verdicts tomorrow, are the Indy Freepers ready to take to the State House steps again? Perhaps so many rulings are due tomorrow, so that there won't be two reasons to remember December 7th as a "Day That Will Live in Infamy".

Julia Carson just stated everyone misunderstood her statement last Monday. She states she did not say it was time for Gore to concede, but that he should give up trying to contact Gov. Bush and take the high road. I listened to her last week, and she definitely said it was time for Gore to concede. Of course the station claims they don't keep tapes of their previous programs.

Time for Indy to get ready to rumble again. How about it Indy Freepers? Let's meet again this Saturday 1pm on the State House steps. We won't have the Wooden Classic to help us out, but several Indianapolis-GWB egroup members (Dr. Hulka's group) would like to join in the fun. Sign up here - bring your friends and family (that way they get a chance to see you without the computer screen in the way). Bring your signs and loudest voices. Contact your local republican party chairperson and turn out a good crowd again this weekend.

____________________________________________________________________ * * * Gore Mail - November 28, 2000 * * * _____________________________________________________________________ Dear Friends, This was an incredibly hard fought campaign, one in which Al Gore and Joe Lieberman laid out a clear and compelling vision for the future of the United States. Thanks in large part to your energy and support, Al Gore and Joe Lieberman won the popular vote, and, we believe, the vote in Florida as well. Because this is the closest presidential election in American history, the candidate who received the most votes in Florida will be not only the winner of that state, ...

Why is this page on the "Official White House Site" and just how long have the thieves had it up there? This just raised my bloodpressure and few notches. Just click on the URL above and watch your BP soar!

Clinton spoiled our fun back in October, but now we can give it to Sore/Loserman instead. Are you tired of hearing how the protestors in Florida are being bussed in? Tired of all the other Freepers getting to have all the fun? Tired of the lying media types? Here's our chance to join our fellow Americans and have our voices heard. There is already a group planning on gathering for a protest at the State House tomorrow (thanks for letting me know Porch Swing). Let's get as large a crowd together as we can. We have the perfect opportunity to ...

WIBC, Indianapolis just broke with new flash - Dick Cheney taken to DC hospital with chest pains.

Cyn is on her way to Indy as I type. Are there any other Freepers in the central Indiana area who would like to get together, to meet and greet Cyn? It would also give us a chance to meet each other and start making plans for klinton's Oct 7th visit.
-
Did anyone else just hear the report on WIBC that Bobby Knight has been fired?

CARMEL--The Board of Zoning Appeals granted a request for a new cellular phone antenna to be built into the brickwork of Northview Christian Life Church. Omnipoint Telecommunications will now install the antenna into the cross on the east side of the church at the intersection of Hazel Dell Parkway and 131st Street. The site is the highest elevation in Hamilton County. The move meets the city's hopes that cellular service companies would place new antennae on existing structures rather than build new, free-standing towers. Following the BZA approval of the Northview Christian Life Church site request, Omnipoint retracted its request ...

Link to website Dihydrogen Monoxide Conspiracy Current allegations suggest that the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) may be conspiring to cover up the whole DHMO issue. Attempts by DHMO researchers to elicit comment from the EPA regarding the possible coverup were either ignored or dodged, leading researchers to infer the alleged coverup. Incredibly, the EPA then attempted to divert attention from the real issue onto talk of the aesthetics and layout of the EAC's DMRD web site!

I’m asking the people of Iowa to participate in our 99 County Blitz and to help me take a big step towards building a better nation for America’s families." -- Al Gore in a press announcement on ...
