  • Texas Drought Causing Cattle Deaths...From Too Much Water?

Ranchers are taking any means or methods necessary to combat these problems, but there is no clear-cut or simple solution. Some ranchers have even resorted to relocating their herds to other states. Other ranchers were sending their cattle to market early. "There will be a few opportunities for spotty thunderstorm activity in the region over the next several weeks," Sosnowski said. For drought-busting and/or heat busting, it's going to take a dramatic change in the weather pattern, or a major tropical system to come along.

A Police Chief who tells it like it is, and doesn't pull any punches at a press conference --- wonder how many reporters were shocked? Wonder how many reporters thought this was worth reporting??? Everyone else may have already seen this, but I thought it was worth sharing. Enjoy!!! Or delete if this is old news and I am the last to know. Thanks!!!

FReepers experienced in running for office --- can you help out a novice??? I want to do things as 100% right as humanly possible. I need to find a campaign manager who knows the ropes so that everything is done as it is supposed to be. Unfortunately, unlike other professions, there does not seem to be any "group" or association for campaign managers. I am in a rural District in Texas. Anyone got any ideas??? Of course, the conventional wisdom is that I will not be able to unseat an incumbent, but I think we saw a lot of that...

If you're ready to look at someone who isn't a polished POLITICIAN that tells everyone what they want to hear, you've found ME! I am a Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) kind of Conservative with an Rep. Michele Bachmann (R., Minn.) kind of outspoken personality. I am an unashamed Conservative with a loud voice and some rock solid core values. I spent 31 years in the Army serving this country, and I don't mind fighting for the American Values of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and of our Founding Fathers. I am not for sale, and I'm hard to bully....

I have spoken with several people across the country just this morning requesting that the politicians (by name, of course) who voted "YES" on the Health Care Bill be EXCOMMUNICATED --- you can't imagine how surprised they are when you ask!!! Please JOIN ME and let them hear from US!!! Find the contact information to find a Bishop or a specific Diocese here: http://www.usccb.org/directory.shtml Here are the steps as outlined to me by a Priest this morning: 1) Only a member of the Diocese where the politician is a resident can consider a petition; 2) The request must be made...

It's time. No, I am not some crazy fringe lunatic. I am one of the most law abiding citizens around. I don't even have any moving traffic violations ever, in 40 years of driving, only a ticket once in college for an unnoticed (by me) expired inspection sticker. Never drank, never smoked, never tried drugs. I am the LAST person anyone would expect to say NO, NO MORE, NO WAY!!! But it's time. I served my country voluntarily for 31 years, and did my level best to give back to the Army and my soldiers more than they gave me....

I know I am a racist, but. . . . Sent to Texas Gov. Rick Perry Friday -— anyone else want to join me in this? ----------------------------------------------- COST CUTTING IDEA - I have noticed that the federal government is looking at taxes to increase costs on high calorie items in order to increase overall health. While I am totally against telling Americans what they can buy with their own hard earned money, this new push suggested to me that we might finally be able to change the Lone Star Card program so that the card can not be used for...

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves. The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve. The Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception. Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted. Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, 'Oh, Grow up!' The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it. Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing. The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to...

With respect to the rumor-mill that was desperately trying to churn out the extortion lies, I carefully watched twitter to see who said what, then doubled back doing some research of my own trying to locate the origins of the stories. Then I conducted a WHOIS search on a powerful tool I use which found the main websites linked together to one main site are all inter-related... and a lawyer/former lobbyist is the Registered Admin for the site. She is extremely highly connected - to a powerful lobbying legal firm - and the who's who throughout Washington, New York, Chicago...

President, Barack Obama has promised a massive change to “modernize health care by making all health records standardized and electronic.” Part of his ambitious health care program will be the computerizing of medical records of all Americans in order to make the health care process more cost-effective. --- the VeriChip Corp., the US company creating microchip implants --- The company’s executives have said their present push is the tagging of “high-risk” patients — diabetics and people with heart conditions or Alzheimer’s disease. --- According to the company’s most recent SEC quarterly filing, 515 hospitals have pledged to take part in...

SAYING WHAT MUST BE SAID Freedom isn't free, and that is why we are gathered here today --- to honor those who gave everything they had to purchase and protect the freedom we enjoy. Our brave soldiers have fought in many times and lands against the governments of rulers and tyrants that controlled and enslaved their people. We have liberated nations, asking in return only enough ground to bury our dead. Sadly, some people today don't understand freedom. Freedom is the right, given to us by our Creator, to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Freedom is opportunity, but...

Losers # Veterans: Nearly all items for Veterans Affairs were reduced and the $2 billion the Senate wanted for VA construction was wiped out altogether. The VA did get one thing: $1 billion for medical facilities renovation and retooling. # Military construction: Cut and put into a general pot, a change from targeted money for each branch of the services. Army construction alone went from $600 million in the Senate and $900 million in the House to $180 million in the final bill. But negotiators compromised over a general military construction fund -- the House wanted $3.75 billion while the...

I may have found one of the reasons the media is so deep in the tank for Obama and the democrats: On November 5th, as soon as Obama steals the election and comes to power, the Congress will pass this bill that "nationalizes" the media by putting them on the government dole. YES --- REALLY! "The Fairness Doctrine will shut down most of Talk Radio. How else will the people get their information" This page will not let me copy, so you will have to read it for yourself!

[Orson Scott Card is a Democrat newspaper columnist - in this opinion piece he takes on both.] An open letter to . . . almost every local daily paper in America: You do what it takes to get the truth and you lay it before the public, because the public has a right to know. . . . Doesn't journalism require that you . . . tell the truth about who brought us to a position where the only way to keep confidence in our economy was a $700 billion bailout? . . . These are facts. "There are elections in America now. Along came a black citizen of Kenyan African origins, a Muslim, who had studied in an Islamic school in Indonesia. His name is Obama," said Gadhafi in little-noticed remarks he made at a rally marking the anniversary of the 1986 U.S. air raid on his country. "All the people in the Arab and Islamic world and in Africa applauded this man," continued Gadhafi. "They welcomed him and prayed for him and for his success, and they may have even been involved in legitimate contribution campaigns to enable him to win the American presidency."We are...
