Most Americans seem to agree that Congress is seeped in a primordial soup of dysfunction, to put it lightly.

I received a 2011 Congressional District Census from the RNC. I expect political professionals to at least understand commonly defined economic terms. However, Question #5 asks How concerned are you that our federal deficit - presently pver $14 trillion - will seriously jeopardize our nation's economic security for future generations? If the RNC does not know the difference between the DEBT and the DEFICIT, then why should I support the efforts of the RNC? This solicitation should be labeled "2011 Congressional District Fund Raiser"!

The Enemy Within Many of our public officials have broken their oath of office. They affirm or swear that they will support the Constitution and defend it “against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” There is the foreign threat of Marxist subversion and aggression. More dangerous, however, are the domestic enemies - individuals whose actions and attitudes are corrupting the Constitution. Those individuals include some of the very government officials sworn to uphold the Constitution. Actions by the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the federal government have proven that many officeholders apparently do not understand the Constitution. If they do...

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DEMAND WARS IN EASIER-TO-FIND COUNTRIES "How Come No One Fights in Big Famous Nations Anymore?" They Ask Washington, D.C. (SatireWire.com) — A delegation of American high school students today demanded the United States stop waging war in obscure nations such as Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and instead attack places they've actually heard of, such as France, Australia, and Austria, unless, they said, those last two are the same country. "People claim we don't know as much geography as our parents and grandparents, but it's so not our fault," Josh Beldoni, a senior at Fischer High School in...

I just saw a commercial on FOX News by "An Apple Pie and Motherhood" sounding organization called ProtectYourCheck.org. I went to their site to see who these benevolent sponsors are, who are looking out for the general public. This is what I found: Harold Ickes, Deputy Chief of Staff for President Clinton and architect of Clinton's successful 1996 re-election campaign,Jim Jordan, a former Democratic Senate Campaign Committee executive director and campaign manager for Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign.Jim Margolis, political consultant to John Kerry's successful presidential primary campaign and successful campaigns for Democratic U.S. Senators and Governors.Michael Powell, previous chief of...

(From flap of book cover) "Schweizer details Reagan's economic and political war against Moscow, a war that he personally mapped out and directed, ignoring the advice of many experts in his own administration. Schweizer brings to light dozens of previously unknown facts about the Cold War, based on secret documents obtained from archives in Russia, Germany, Poland, Hungary, and the United States. Among his revelations are a North Korea and East German plot to assassinate Reagan in 1983; Reagan's secret funding of solidarity in Poland; and the behind the scenes support that the Soviets and East Germans provided for European...
