During last night's debate did anyone else notice 0bamugabe was communicating with someone off stage (his handlers/ Axelrod, Mooch etc.) by very deliberately blinking once (for Yes?) or twice (for No?)? Most video segments of OBozo waiting to rebut Romney seem to have some evidence of this, I know it was not just imagined. What theories do you have on the types of questions he was answering? (This could be fun!)

Saturday morning a live WWII era hand grenade was found amid piles of debris in the backyard of a central Austin, Texas residence. Area neighbors found the grenade while removing the remnants of a collapsed garage as part of a community outreach/ assistance program for elderly property owners. Local authorities were notified, the area blocked off by police, some nearby residents evacuated and the Austin Police Department bomb squad brought in to identify, contain and dispose of the munition. Rod Blagojevich from office Thursday, marking the first time in the state's long history of political corruption that a chief executive has been impeached and convicted. July 27, 2008 The U.S. Senate put in a rare working Saturday in order to approve a massive housing aid package to shore up the collapsing real estate market. The measure now goes to the White House, where President Bush has indicated he will sign it into law. The measure gives the U.S. Treasury Department the power to step in to protect mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, preventing them from going into default. By doing so, U.S. taxpayers will assume substantially more risk, promising to bail out the two firms if they begin to teeter toward bankruptcy.

A judge has ruled that a Wal-Mart Supercenter can be built at Northcross Mall, despite the objections of some neighbors. A group of residents called Responsible Growth for Northcross tried to stop the North Austin store by suing the City of Austin and Lincoln Property Co., arguing that the store plans proposed by Lincoln and approved by the city violate city rules. Drama over a proposal to require voters to prove their identity dominated the Texas Senate for a second straight day Wednesday. The debates brought work to a halt as lawmakers huddled for hours behind closed doors. Senate Democrats barely blocked consideration of the bill Tuesday and feared Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst might invoke a rarely used rule to push the measure through. LONDON - Unchecked global warming will devastate the world economy on the scale of the world wars and the Great Depression, a major British report said Monday. British Treasury chief Gordon Brown, who commissioned the report, said former Vice President Al Gore, who has dedicated much time to warning of the effects of global warming, would advise the British government on climate change.
