nice answer GW - partial birth is abhorrent and should be stopped NOW.

adoption SHOULD be made a viable alternative. the laws are so crazy, especially in Florida, that any couple who might want to adopt, faces a mountain of paperwork and uncertainty.

mention Heinz? how about mentioning the HUGE lie about loss of health insurance? when someone looses their job, even for ONE day, they go on the books as someone WITHOUT health insurance for the YEAR.

The suppression of the military vote is something that worries me greatly. What's interesting about the 2000 election in Florida is that the Gore campaign (and now the Kerry campaign) said that the Minority vote was suppressed by the Bush campaign. HOWEVER - the only votes that were truly suppressed were those from the military serving abroad.

According to my husband, who was in the AF and stationed in England, it is up to each individual to vote on time. But, those fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan and on any aircraft carrier will have a challenge getting their votes in on time and, making sure they are properly postmarked (which is the issue that threw out many of the military votes in 2000).

When the military vote usually isn't counted, because it usually isn't needed, how can we be sure that this year, the voice of our military is heard?
