After two weeks of people advocating for big-government, bottom-up philosophies vs. free market, small businesses, and ideas of how to grow our economy out of this mess, the halls have died down. The delegates have returned home. God has been voted down. The unborn child has been prayed for at the conclusion of both conventions. Assertions of freedom of choice have been made on everything from sex to guns. Distinct ideas have been put forth about economic improvement as well as America's role in the world, and one side has even carefully examined the number of times the other specifically...
  • Ignore the Haters… ACT OF VALOR is a great piece of film making.

The filmmaker’s Q & A following the screening was also very telling. Their primary motivation for making this apolitical movie about the life of Navy Seals was primarily to pay honor and tribute to the sacrifice these extraordinary individuals make in order for all the rest of us to walk around free. The liberals in attendance gave the film the same standing ovation I did, because they were drawn into an intense story line that did not choose partisan sides. That’s not to say that liberals who haven’t seen the film aren’t making a partisan issue of it.
  • Why Perry's Campaign Is Not Quite Dead Yet

The five reasons I asserted that Governor Perry would have the best shot at beating Obama were simple ones: He decisively created more jobs than Obama. He greatly respects and tries to encourage small businesses. He has a clear understanding of federalism and what states shouldn't be forced into. He has solid core convictions that replicate most of America. And he could unite the core conservative Democrats, Republicans and Independents across the nation on economic, social and defense policy. All five of those reasons remain -- even now -- solidly relevant and valid. However, he's certainly nowhere near where I...
  • Obama or Mexico Worse on Unemployment?

Do you realize that America has the worst economy on our continent? White House officials will get unbelievably angry when this is pointed out, but 5% unemployment was what this nation enjoyed under President Bush. So what did President Bush know, and what do Mexico and Canada now know that President Obama doesn't know? Most likely it's got something to do with the idea that small businesses are the engine to a growing economy. And while Mexico is building things and growing things, inner city Obama voters are sitting on their tukas (or in the collective "tukai") groaning about how...
  • Why 178 Public Educators in Atlanta SHOULD BE in prison…

The majority of the nation doesn’t know that investigators have turned up a hatched-scheme in which Union bosses coordinated efforts with public education officials. Further that 44 of 56 school districts in the Atlanta Public Schools system strategically convinced Superintendents, Principals and teachers to cheat–primarily by going back and erasing answers on tests and replacing them with correct ones–in order to have a higher means score for the No Child Left Behind funding qualifications. The evidence is overwhelming. 2100 Interviews… 178 educators involved… 38 principals involved… 80 confessions to the schemes… 800,000 documents as evidence…
  • ANNOUNCING THE DEATH OF OBAMACARE: “The Cares Project 2011″

Xtreme Charity, the charitable foundation of Stephen Baldwin & Kevin McCullough announce the much anticipated start of their private initiative to assist every person in America to have greater control over their own health care cost and maintenance. Hence this is day one of the “Stephen and Kevin care about your health” CARES PROJECT 2011: As I was beginning to write my new best-selling book, “No He Can’t: How Barack Obama is dismantling Hope and Change” my heart grew increasingly sad. As I watched the entire health care debate in 2009, the tea-party revolt and the repeal push in 2010,...
  • Why Do Liberals See Women As Stupid?

This past week the "progressive" left laid claim to the women's vote of 2012. They intend to compete for the hearts and minds of women. They intend to win the votes of women, and they will lie, confuse, and mislead if necessary to do so. In short the left believe that the women's vote in America is something they can manipulate devoid of fact. More pathetically they believe women in droves will cascade with them over the cliff into the insanity the left offers--all the while attempting to convince them they are truly on their side. To the left, women...

Before starting, by way of disclosure any regular listeners of The Ed Morrissey Show know that Kevin and I have a bit of a history and it hasn’t always been the smoothest one. There are more than a few areas of political ideology where we’re simply never going to agree, but it hasn’t stopped us from chatting cordially on occasion. With that said, I went into the project of reading the review copy of Kevin’s book I received fully prepared not to like it. What followed was probably more of a surprise to me than anyone else. While the author...
  • Opinion President Obama Should Have Thanked Bush for His Middle East Vision In His Libya Speech

Monday night President Obama took to the airwaves to rebut the criticism and confusion surrounding his decision to send U.S. troops to Libya. It was an interesting speech, but a lame attempt to make the Libyan circumstances seem unique to his presidency.

Something tells me this will backfire badly against the Democrats, the President, and the unions. This wave of ginned up angst, abandonment of responsibility, and the attempt to strong-arm the tax-payers of state of Wisconsin will be remembered for a long time to come. On Friday morning, my television and radio shows took calls from Wisconsin citizens, most of whom lived in Madison or very near, some of whom were teachers and more than willing to go along with the Governor's modest request. Though they didn't like the idea of what amounted to pay cuts, they weren't willing to send...

His best moment came early on: "What comes of this moment is up to us. What comes of this moment will be determined not by whether we can sit together tonight, but whether we can work together tomorrow." The devil will be in the details on most of what the president had to say tonight, but there is no denying the need for Americans to work together. What many may feel however is that we will need to work against the inclination to spend more His most hypocritical: "Thanks to the tax cuts we passed, Americans’ paychecks are a little...

...In other words, while Gosnell was collecting jars of tiny feet, severed from the babies he ended the lives of, abortion practitioners from coast to coast were performing the eerily similar procedures. And 100% of them done with the backing of the National Organization for Women, the National Abortion Rights Action League, and a long list of U.S. Senators, including then Senator Barack Obama.

News reports on Saturday reporting that the TSA was announcing warnings to would-be travelers that any "would-be commercial airline passenger who enters an airport checkpoint but refuses to undergo the method of inspection as prescribed by the TSA workers on duty would not be allowed to fly, (but far more importantly)--would not be permitted to leave the airport." But that wasn't all. The TSA also included in it's announcement for the first time the new fine of $11,000 and possible arrest for anyone who refused. TSA worker Sari Koshetz was quoted in one report, "Once a person submits to the...

Should an attack on any group of Americans be considered an act of good will? Should a hostile takeover of natural resources be considered a threat? Should a foreign power have the right to unilaterally seize American assets with impunity? Well I suppose if you're Barack Obama, and the foreign power is Hugo Chavez, and the group of Americans are associated with natural resources--specifically oil and natural gas, the answer is obviously...

Is President Obama attempting to write a book on how NOT to solve a problem like a CEO? Incredibly he played his 38th round of golf (in 18 months) on Sunday. You know… while the oil spill deadline for BP came and went? Four hours of golf helped him set a new record as will every round he plays for the duration of his time in office. President Bush played only 24 rounds of golf in 8 years.

Most Americans are outraged at Helen Thomas' culturally and ethnically based anti-semitic biases, said with seemingly complete sobriety and coherence this past week to a rolling video camera. But if Americans are honest, they would have to admit that the current administration's policies, positions, and preferences towards Israel come scarily close to agreement with the disgraced columnist for Hearst newspapers. This is particularly so in recent weeks. It is one thing for a journalist with ethnic origins from the middle east to advocate over and over again across many administrations for the elimination of the Israeli state. It is another...

When 200 hispanic students skipped school last week and marched through downtown Morgan Hill, California chanting "Si se puede" intermixed with "We want respect," none were banned from school attendance on their return. When five students, one of them an American from latino roots, wore American flags to school as a sign of patriotic speech, they were labeled incendiary. They were instructed to turn their shirts inside-out so as to cover up the American flag. And when they refused to surrender their first amendment right to expression, they were given unexcused absences.

Both Thursday and Friday evenings this week, if you're attending CPAC, or are in the Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, or Delaware areas, you are invited to enjoy "Epic Nites." On Thursday night, Stephen Baldwin will conduct an insightful conversation between Fox News' Andrea Tantaros and Sarah Huckabee over the future of the GOP, the ideas of conservatism, women in politics, and the outlook for the nation. The "10 questions with Stevie B" is something worth making room in your schedule for. Gov. Mike Huckabee will be making a special appearance, and several additional surprises also await. Then on Friday...

...In a letter to CBS the Center for Reproductive Rights begs the network to pull the ad based on the status of legalized abortion in the Philippines at the time of Pam Tebow's pregnancy. While carrying him, Tim's mother had been diagnosed with amoebic dysentery, and had been advised to terminate the life of her unborn son. The letter asserts that since abortion was outlawed in 1870 it is unlikely that a doctor would've advised her to terminate her pregnancy. "Given this context, it raises questions about whether physicians in the Philippines would have urged a married pregnant woman to...
