You are right about the GOP being blameworthy for the low status of education from top to bottom.

Governor DeSantis has done a lot with choice, and push-back on DEI at the universities. Much more to do.

The legislature controls the budget strings. They need to cut anything at the universities that looks like anti-Americanism. Send the liberal professors - and grade school librarians - scurrying back to Cuba.
