I had a look at their site. They claim that islam is pure evil. If they don't propagate religious hatred, nobody does.

"They know that but they know more. That those annexed territories didn't belong to Poland. They are ukranian and bellorussian occupied by Poland 20 years before."

Uhm. I suppose they were most happy when the Russians occupied them for the next 50 years. Oops, not Russians: it was a Jewish-Polish-Latvian conspiracy.

JB6, why don't you emigrate to Russia? It's such a wonderful place! You can have as much oil there as you want. I suppose Russia is much better than America (not to mention China, the biggest capitalist country in the world), what do you think?

Hahaha. Typically russian sense of humour. Rokosovski a Pole, good. And Pushkin was Ethiopian.

When most people talk about death penalty they don't have in mind such extreme examples as you've mentioned (dr. Lecter). They just think: death for death. A few years ago there was in Poland a case of a guy who had killed five persons. Standing before the judge he said something to the effect: 'I killed them cause I like killing". When I heard this I thought to myself: this is the one who deserves to be hanged. But the question is not what we think, but what we are allowed to do by God.

About those extreme cases you write:
"Even in solitary confinement, they sometimes hurt the guards who still have to feed them and otherwise watch them"

I'm sure there are ways to isolate even dr Lecter effectively. Human resourcefulness is unlimited.:)

"they had a crack outfit but everyone else had tanks. a little late there"

Only the Germans had the Panzer fist at that time. Had they attacked US in 1939, you'd be lying flat in a matter of three months ;)
And don't forget that Germans were using cavalry in 1939 too.

"when telling jokes the word is definitely Polack"

Is it? I didn't know that. I'm a Pole from motherland, so I'm allergic to the word "Pollack" in American mouth. You know, we all here have an inferiority complex. :)

"Are you calling ALL the religious people of Russia "freedom hating scum"???"

Oh please, where did you get it from? I haven't written that, for God's sake!
I pray for all the good people in Russia. Putin and his minions are the communist scum. I'm sure any true Christian in Russia wouldn't care a thing about gays and their preposterous parades. They are only another object of missionary work, nothing more.

"a Catholic who is in favor of the death penalty must take very seriously and consider carefully what the Popes and the theological leaders of the Church have had to say"

Certainly, but what Catechism says is binding for a Catholic, and what it says about death penalty is very clear to my mind:

--- CC 2267 "Assuming that the guilty party's identity and responsibility have been fully determined, the traditional teaching of the Church does not exclude recourse to the death penalty, if this is the only possible way of effectively defending human lives against the unjust aggressor.
If, however, non-lethal means are sufficient to defend and protect people's safety from the aggressor, authority will limit itself to such means, as these are more in keeping with the concrete conditions of the common good and are more in conformity to the dignity of the human person.
Today, in fact, as a consequence of the possibilities which the state has for effectively preventing crime, by rendering one who has committed an offense incapable of doing harm - without definitely taking away from him the possibility of redeeming himself - the cases in which the execution of the offender is an absolute necessity "are very rare, if not practically non-existent."-----

Now, interesting question is this: are all Catholics who favour death penalty heretics? And is their salvation in peril? I don't know the answer. I think I'll have to deepen my theological knowledge. You are allowed to disagree with the Church on various questions (like war in Irag, Pope was against it, I was for it - no problem), but are you allowed to disagree with the opinions stated in Catechism?

"does Polish public education make a point of describing the Polish seizer of Teschen (Zaolzie)? "

I hope it still does. When I was at school (long time ago), they talked about it rather a lot. And the judgment of it was very clear. Recently I looked up a few Polish history sites on the web, and the judgment generally is that it was a stupid mistake rather than a crime (we had a short war with the Czechs over this scrap of land in 1919). My opinion: it was a stupid crime, considering the circumstances.

"If AMERICANS judge Russia then I'm not against it since America IS moral authority for russians. But no Poland, Baltics and so on."

That says it all. You gave yourself away. America is a moral authority for you, because America is powerful. For me, America is not a moral authority, or Russia, or any other country in the world. The only moral authority is God. But you know nothing about it, don't you?

By the way, sorry for that remark about your English. I was a bit pissed off, you know. You may write your posts even in Mandarin, I'm not going to read them anyway.

Being Catholic and in favor of death penalty is a bit of a contradiction, don't you think? I know some people claim that the Catechism of CC allows capital punishment, but it's just bullshit. It allows it in "extreme" circumstances, like war etc. In peace time- no way. (To be clear: I'm Polish, Catholic and against death penalty)

The proper name is Bohemia. It is the old, mediaevel-Latin name of that country. Czechistan? Oh, please! What about Englishstan?
