Paywall seems to be off for this story. A suspect in the killing of Bel Air mother Rachel Morin is in custody in Tulsa, Oklahoma, pending extradition to Maryland, Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said at a news conference Saturday. “Rachel’s murderer is no longer a free man and, hopefully, he will never have the opportunity to walk free again,” Gahler said. Tulsa Police and federal authorities found Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, 23, on Friday night and took him into custody for allegedly trespassing, Gahler said. The El Salvador native is being held without bond at a Tulsa County jail, accused...

Can you imagine waking up on November 4, after the election, to news that Donald Trump convincingly won the elections? Electoral and popular votes? Smoke would still be rising from cities across the country.

FireEye has uncovered a widespread campaign, that we are tracking as UNC2452. The actors behind this campaign gained access to numerous public and private organizations around the world. They gained access to victims via trojanized updates to SolarWind’s Orion IT monitoring and management software. This campaign may have begun as early as Spring 2020 and is currently ongoing. Post compromise activity following this supply chain compromise has included lateral movement and data theft. The campaign is the work of a highly skilled actor and the operation was conducted with significant operational security.

A dark thought just came to me. What if on Election Day the left goes bonkers and attacks in person voting locations around the country?

Completely deranged and unhinged. Notified that Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died.

Dear General Milley: As chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, you are well aware of your duties in ordinary times: to serve as principal military advisor to the president of the United States, and to transmit the lawful orders of the president and Secretary of Defense to combatant commanders. In ordinary times, these duties are entirely consistent with your oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…” We do not live in ordinary times. The president of the United States is actively subverting our electoral system, threatening to remain in...

Take a look at the linked video: Looting on 34th Street. At about 27:00 the looters get into Macys. At about 30:00 the NYPD charges into Macy's, batons out. Obviously no video from inside, but hilarity surely ensued.

But these arguments . . . are based on a flawed understanding of how flu deaths are counted, which may leave us with a distorted view of how coronavirus compares with it. . . . it occurred to me that, in four years of emergency medicine residency and over three and a half years as an attending physician, I had almost never seen anyone die of the flu. I could only remember one tragic pediatric case. The question remains. Can we accurately compare the toll of the flu to the toll of the coronavirus pandemic? To do this, we have...

A new 162,000-square-foot meat processing plant opened Oct. 21 in Camp Hill, Pa. The factory, off Lisburn Road, is owned by Ahold USA, which operates grocery store chains Giant, Martin’s and Stop & Shop, and is managed by Vantage Foods. The plant will cut and package beef and pork products for distribution to Giant’s stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland and surrounding states, said Tracey Pawelski, Ahold’s vice president of external communications. No animals will be slaughtered at the factory. The carcasses will be brought in from the company’s current suppliers, including Pennsylvania-based brands such as Hatfield and Berks as well as...

I just finished an online chat with my HS girlfriend. She's a RN in a NJ hospital. I learned a few things that are going on in that facility. They are packed. The hospital went into a "divert status" two weeks ago. That means heart attacks, strokes, car accidents, etc. have to go elsewhere. The ICU is all COVID-19, all ventilated. The ER has a large number of ventilated patients also. Previously unused wards that had one time been pediatrics are now negative pressure COVID wards, all full. The initial order for most COVID-19 patients includes hydroxychloroquine and an azithromycin...

The first case of the Wuhan Virus in the US is thought to be on January 19, 2020 when a 35-year-old man showed up at an urgent care clinic in Snohomish County, Washington. In New York, it was a woman in the last week of February. Now, many are saying that the Wuhan Virus had been around earlier and in greater numbers. During the second week in March, colleges began closing and sending students home. I present this timeline to show how they may have already been widely infected, including the spring breakers. Mid December 2019 - Winter semester ends...

The SIR model attempts to explain both of these situations. Assume every individual is in one of three states: susceptible, infected, or resistant. In a simple world, patient zero is infected, everyone else is susceptible and nobody is resistant. With every step in time, some susceptible people become infected, some infected people recover to be resistant, and resistant people stay resistant.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — SpaceX just took a giant leap forward in its quest to launch astronauts. The private spaceflight company intentionally destroyed one of its rockets on Sunday (Jan. 19) as part of a crucial test of its new Crew Dragon capsule's launch escape system. The uncrewed test, known as an in-flight abort (IFA) test, is the last major hurdle SpaceX needed to clear before Crew Dragon can begin to carry astronauts to and from the International Space Station (ISS). Originally scheduled to launch on Saturday (Jan. 18), the unpiloted crew capsule was grounded for 24 hours due to...
