I like Michael Berry and agree with almost everything he says. He’s very anti-Romney which is a plus. He’s usually in favor of whichever non-Romney is winning, Newt and then Santorum.
I don’t care that he was in a gay bar - it’s no one’s business. I also agreed with his commentary that Republicans focus too much on gays, at their own peril.
I had no idea what he looked like so I looked up his pic to see if he had gay-face. Have to admit he is kind of perty looking... Still, I don’t care that he was in a gay bar.
You are absolutely correct. Right now Santorum is gaining traction because he comes across as a regular guy. But people don’t yet know him. When they hear he wants govt to define marriage and other such bs, he’s toast.
They are rejecting him because he is a flip flopper and comes across as a liar. We (indendents) prefer someone who stands for something like Perry or Gingrich (even though the social issue talk gets annoying). Santorum is too much about social issues = no good.
As a space worker, I’m thrilled that he’s enthusiastic about space. But I don’t agree with his plan to disband the NASA structure and give it all to private companies. It’s fine to give some work to the private companies (as those companies are now developing craft to space station), but NASA has a purpose to ensure safety of the vehicles going to space station. Also NASA is running the space station now. I’m assuming he wouldn’t change the current structure to give management of space station to a private company. The overhead would be too great.
I wanted Perry to have a second look too. But this is just not the year for anyone who is lacking in debating skills to win. Both Rick’s are nice people and conservatives. But people are more concerned about the candidate’s ability to smack down Obama.
