Trump: I 'Like' Obamacare's Individual Mandate 7:48 AM, Feb 19, 2016 | By Jeffrey H. Anderson The most unpopular part of Obamacare now has a champion in the Republican presidential field. Via the Right Scoop, Donald Trump was asked on Thursday night by CNN's Anderson Cooper, "If…there's no mandate for everybody to have insurance, what's to—why would an insurance company not have a preexisting—insure somebody with a preexisting condition?" Trump replied, "Well, I like the mandate. Okay, so here's where I'm a little bit different. I don't want people dying on the streets. And I say this all the time."...

With one week to go and the race turning tense, a new Bluegrass Poll found no clear favorite in the battle for the Republican nomination to battle likely-Democratic nominee Jack Conway in the Kentucky governor’s race. Louisville businessman Matt Bevin, Agriculture Commissioner James Comer and former Louisville councilman Hal Heiner are effectively even among likely-Republican voters, according to the poll conducted for WKYT-TV, the Lexington Herald-Leader, the Louisville Courier-Journal, and WHAS-TV. Fireworks erupted last week and the race turned divisive after abuse allegations involving Comer surfaced and questions were raised about whether Heiner's campaign was involved in them becoming public....

A Christian florist and grandmother who declined to provide flowers for a same-sex wedding because of her Christian belief in traditional marriage has been fined $1,001 by a Washington court and will be held liable to pay the legal fees incurred by the gay couple, which could "devastate" her financially. As previously reported by The Christian Post, 70-year-old Barronelle Stutzman, the owner of Arlene's Flowers in Richland, Washington, was found guilty of violating the state's non-discrimination law in February, after referring Rob Ingersoll and Curt Feed to another florist when they asked her to provide the floral arrangements for their...

Election results in November that emboldened the House Republican majority and delivered the U.S. Senate majority to the GOP be damned, House Speaker John Boehner is desperately turning to the Democrats to pass his omnibus bill that enables President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty. The full bill, the text of which was publicly introduced at about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday after congressional leaders missed several self-set deadlines throughout the day, is 1,603 pages long. That means it will be impossible for any member of the House or Senate to read the entire bill before voting on it this week.

Christian Bale has said drones would be sent out after biblical character Moses had he been real and alive today. Sen. Thad Cochran's campaign manager, Kirk Sims, has been replaced by his state director Brad Davis, according to a GOP source close to the campaign. The source, who has first-hand knowledge of the information from speaking to campaign officials, also said the campaign has retained the legal firm Butler Snow for unknown reasons. Sims, a former chief of staff to Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant, leaves his campaign manager post having won a bitter primary fight against odds but also amid allegations of vote-buying and other improprieties that have engulfed the election's outcome in acrimony. Noel Fritsch, a spokesman for Cochran's...

Mississippi state Sen. Chris McDaniel, the Tea Party candidate who narrowly lost a primary runoff against incumbent U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran, is seeking the public’s help to prove that his opponent’s victory was tainted by voter fraud. State Sen. Solis) McDaniel refused to concede in the immediate wake of the runoff last week, and on Thursday his campaign announced that it is offering rewards for proof of voter fraud. “The Challenge is aimed at funding fifteen $1,000 rewards...

*Radio ads exclusively obtained by MailOnline show how forces loyal to Sen. Thad Cochran used claims of racism to get black Democrats to cross over and cast primary run-off votes against a tea party Republican *Ads were paid for by a far-left former marketing executive, and sources say the funds were provided by a super PAC created by former Republican Mississippi Gov. Pointing out that post-election challenges usual fail, one Tea Party leader, Judson Phillips is calling for Thad Cochran's primary challenger, State Senator Chris McDaniel to run as a write-in candidate in the Fall. “The Republican Establishment thinks they have fought back an insurrection from conservatives and now we will meekly fall in line in November and support a RINO who needs Democrats to win? Never,” said Mr. Phillips, who also writes a column in The Washington Times. “If Chris McDaniel loses his challenges to this election, then he needs to be a write-in candidate this fall.” It's increasingly clear that...

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh was fired up on Wednesday following Sen. Thad Cochran’s controversial victory over tea party-backed state Sen. Chris McDaniel in Mississippi on Thursday. Cochran reached out to traditionally Democratic voters – blacks and union members – in a last-ditch effort to beat McDaniel. “The Republican establishment sought victory via Democrat voters in the runoff, and they got them. Without the African-American vote from Democrat-leaning counties, Thad Cochrane would have lost by eight or nine percent last night,” Limbaugh said, calling the tactic “reprehensible.” Limbaugh cited a flyer, posted by journalist Charles Johnson that suggested McDaniel and...

Conservatives who believe that winning back control of the Senate will destroy any chance of amnesty legislation passing are sorely mistaken. In fact, a Republican-controlled Congress may make it easier to provide a path to citizenship for all of the country's illegal immigrants if this Congress fails to do so. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who has his eye on the GOP presidential nomination and was the central figure who backed the Senate's amnesty bill that passed last year, said that Republicans in the Senate would "absolutely" take up amnesty legislation again if they gain a net of six seats to...

President Barack Obama's top adviser and confidant told a group of global elites on Thursday in Las Vegas, Nevada that House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has made a commitment to the White House to try to pass amnesty legislation this year. After hailing the Senate's amnesty bill that the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers, Valerie Jarrett, Obama's senior advisor, told attendees at the yearly invitation-only SkyBridge Alternatives Conference that Boehner would help the White House make a push get immigration reform enacted in the next three months. “I think we have a window this...

The crowdfunding campaign to make a TV movie about convicted killer Kermit Gosnell has only five days left. The Gosnell Movie project is nearing the $2 million mark and already has shattered a number of fundraising records. The project, designed to remind the public of the atrocities committed by the late-term abortionist, is Indiegogo.com's most successful campaign to date. The Gosnell movie out-earned projects from major stars like Spike Lee and James Franco. Its fundraising tally represents a larger number of donors than those star-driven projects. The goal is to reach $2.1 million before the campaign expires.

The filmmaker behind a movie about the "House of Horrors" abortion doctor convicted of murdering babies born alive says his crowdfunding campaign has broken an Indiegogo record. As of Tuesday, the Gosnell Movie campaign raised $1.9 million of the $2.1 million goal, the most amount raised for a film on Indiegogo. Related Stories "I was thinking we were going to beat the (most money raised) target, but not win and become the most successful failure ever on crowdfunding," said journalist and filmmaker Phelim McAleer. "But, we should make the fundraising goal. We're averaging $30,000 per day." McAleer says he'd love...

Here’s a message Kickstarter won’t miss. Hat Tip Films, responsible for the Gosnell movie, erected a billboard slamming Kickstarter – a half mile away from Kickstarter’s headquarters in Brooklyn, New York. Erected on April 29th, the sign criticized crowdfunding site Kickstarter for refusing permission to fundraise for the Gosnell project. Picture Below. The billboard reads “Kicked out by Kickstarter,” and continues “Gosnell Movie raises $1 million and counting! To the public – we say ‘thank you!’ To Kickstarter we say – ‘you stink at censorship!’”
-
The minds behind the upcoming Gosnell TV movie aren't household names like Spike Lee or James Franco. Still, Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney's Indiegogo campaign trumped crowdfunding efforts by those stars to become the site's biggest moneymaker to date. The Gosnell Movie cause has raised $1.5 million from nearly 16,000 people. Compare that to the $1.4 million Lee gathered from a far smaller group of contributors--6,421 backers. The Gosnell project, detailing the crimes committed by late term abortionist Kermit Gosnell, originally began as part of Kickstarter.com. Its management questioned the graphic nature of the project, which led to McAleer and...

As the murder trial of George Zimmerman marches on, supporters of slain teen Trayvon Martin are vowing to carry out disturbing and deadly acts of violence if Zimmerman is not found guilty. Trayvon Martin Fans Tweet Death Threats If George Zimmerman Is Found Not Guilty Twitter has been buzzing with death threats against Zimmerman (and random white people…and for the truly ambitious, an “hispanic/white” person) if the verdict isn’t guilty as charged in the murder trial in which Zimmerman is pleading self-defense in his fatal shooting of Martin. Here’s a sampling via Twitchy (and be advised of rough language ahead):

George Zimmerman's attorneys say they have raised more than $34,000 in the 48 hours after announcing their defense funds were running dangerously low. That figure, however, is only 26% of the $120,000 they originally requested. They asked people to donate whatever they could, even if that's only $5 or $10. Zimmerman's defense lawyers say the biggest donation received after their plea was $500. Zimmerman is accused of killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26, 2012. He says he shot the teen in self-defense. Many people wrote notes along with their donations, according to his defense team's website, saying things like...
