NFL legend Dick Butkus has died at the age of 80, according to TMZ News. Paramedics responded to a medical emergency at Butkus's Malibu residency at 12.51pm Thursday, according to the outlet. The former linebacker was reportedly declared dead at the scene. The report claims that Butkus was found unresponsive when someone went to check on him at the property.

Local businessman Christopher Wright, 38, was downtown in the city on Thursday to attend his 20-year high school reunion, according to The Chattanoogan. Earlier today the US House of Representatives passed a last-minute spending bill to keep the government funded for an additional 45 days, narrowly averting a government shutdown that would have commenced at 12:01 a.m. The bill, spearheaded by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), now heads to the Senate, where it is expected to pass. The troubled star’s family has gathered by his bedside to say goodbye shortly after he was moved from a hospital to a hospice. The United States on Tuesday announced a new $1.2 billion security assistance package for Ukraine to boost the country’s air defenses and provide it with additional artillery ammunition. Ukraine is readying for a highly anticipated spring offensive against invading Russian troops, but the latest assistance will not immediately arrive on the battlefield as it must still be procured from the defense industry or partners.
