It’s not clear to me how many people are involved in this boycott. It certainly shouldn’t come as a surprise that someone, somewhere is trying to use a political event to make a political statement.
In this case, I think the guy’s statement is a little lame. If he said, we boycott this event because of the suffering going on today in Sudan… that would be a great statement.
Note, there are Christians in the US who claim the Holocaust never happened. They have protests too.
