The Rush Limbaugh Show | Dec. 10, 2014 | Rush Limbaugh
Just before his 1 pm break, El Rushbo reported on an interview he had yesterday with Thomas Sowell, economist, social theorist, political philosopher and author. Sowell told Rush that his biggest fear is that Iran becomes a nuclear power, and attacks the US in some capacity. Sowell believes if Obama is president at the time, he will just surrender to Iran. Stunned, Rush questioned Sowell, who pointed out it only took two bombs for Japan to surrender to the US.

Today is Christmas Day. Hanukkah ended nine days ago. New Years Day is seven days from now. Yet... for some explicable reason, Google thinks today is "Holidays." In their description of their Christmas day graphic, Google writes "Happy Holidays from Google." Well thanks, Google that's very nice of you. Very inclusive.
  • Bubba thinks he's a "Road Runner"

Two quotes from Bill Clinton in Ken Gormley's new book "The Death of American Virtue" reveal Bubba's strange self image for a U.S. President. He sounds like someone bragging to his fellow drinkers in a bar. Quote 1: "Yeah, I will always have an asterisk after my name, but I hope I'll have two asterisks: one is 'they impeached him,' and the other is 'He stood up to them and beat them. And he beat them like a yard dog.' " Quote 2: "I felt they were Wile E. Coyote in the pack and I was the Road Runner."

Sixty miles from Haiti's devastated earthquake zone, luxury liners dock at private beaches where passengers enjoy jetski rides, parasailing and rum cocktails delivered to their hammocks.

My own two eyes and ears
My wife wanted to see a movie yesterday so we went to see Miramax's "Chocolat," produced by the Weinstein brothers. This richly photographed movie is meant to make you think you are watching some deep arty, meaningful foreign film (pronounced fill-umm.) It is vile garbage. The atheist heroine ("I'm sorry, we don't attend church," she proudly announces in the beginning) is made out to be a victim, perfectly reasonable, tolerant, confident, sexy. The church-going townspeople and clergy are all made out to be intolerant fools. Church imagery, from crucifixes, to confessionals, to lent, to priests, to the church itself are ...

Most amazing news from the Hard-Core-Irish-Catholic-Democrat- Kennedy-Kissing-Voice-Of-Hard-Coal-Country-USA: THE SCRANTON TIMES ENDORSES BUSH! I'll bet it has a lot to do with partial-birth abortion. Back in the spring, the Catholic hospital here wouldn't even let Gore make a campaign visit. Faith & Begorrah!

  • The Slant Of The Inkpapers

    07/09/1999 7:58:21 AM PDT · by duckworth · 13+ views
I think we should refer to today's newspapers as "inkpapers." They contain so little news. But plenty of ink. Most of this ink seems to be aimed at showing democrats in the best possible light, and republicans in the worst possible light. As a former newspaper reporter, I know that newspaper people have no great depth. It's not like they're philosophically in tune with the democrat press releases they print. They simply take orders from the top. I have thought long and hard about what causes the slant. And I have come to the conclusion that it has to be ...
